Saved!

Post by Jed-kun » Fri Nov 26, 2004 8:16 pm

I'm sitting here watching "Saved!" for like the 5th time and I was wondering what everybody else thought of this movie.
I thought that it was really funny and I was pretty disapointed that it didn't get more coverage in theaters. It had a good message (IMO) and was funny at the same time. I think that my favorite characters were probably Hilary Faye ( Mandy Moore's character) and "The Jewish" (Played by Susan Surandans daughter, who's name I can't remember at the moment).

EDIT: I forgot to add "what's your favorite scene?" Mine was
When Mary (Jena Malone?) is standing in front of the giant cross after going to Planed Parenthood and she says, "Shit... fuck... (tears in her eyes) God damn." It was really moving and important to the film.
Nothing sucks like a Jed-kun - The "sloganize" web site.

Beast: What's this all about?
Emma: What do you think? Superpowers, a scintillating wit and the best body money can buy... and I still rate below a corpse. ::storms off in a huff::

I've seen it. Good movie. I liked Jenna Malone's character. It made me realize even more how much I dislike those type of religious people. I am a religious person myself, but I like to keep my faith private and I try not to make other people uncomfortable about the fact that they don't share my faith.

I loved this movie! All of the characters were really enjoyable (well Hillary Faye did have moments). My favorite scene was
When they were trying to "help" the main character by performing an exercism and then Hillary throwing the Bible at her when she walks away screaming "I am filled with Christ love!"
Plus Machaly Culkin was in it! He's gotten cute!
