Tell about a time you were screwed over. Well, screwed over may not be the word, but when your hard work didn't pay off.
Once in English class we had this assignment to write six paragraphs. I liked English class because I enjoyed the creative writting part. I was so excited. I stayed up until 2:00 in the morning and wrote them all in one day. My mom said they were fantastic. I know what you're thinking, if I write like anything on the boards how can it be fantastic? Well, my mom is a hard critique. if I do something bad, she says "A two year old couls write better then that" or something. I was so excited. I was so happy that I did a great job. It turns out the project wasn't due for a few weeks, so my teacher got angry at me. Well, eventually I got to hand it in. The day the teacher grades it she drops a bomb. She didn't have time to look over all the paragraphs, so for everyone, she graded the entire project on the first paragraph. Of course, the first paragraph was the one that was the very least good, that was very unfair.

Joey: The question is, Rachel, does he like you? ''Cuz if he doesn''t, then it''s all just a moo point.
Rachel: Huh...a...moo point?
Joey: Yeah. It''''s like a cow''s opinion. It doesn''t matter....It''s moo.

Okay, I shall rant about my French class in high school.
I had been studying French since kindergarten, so of course, I had always been getting well over 90% in French. Until grade 11 French class (I had done well in grade 9 French, so I got to skip grade 10 French). This one teacher of ours also teaches religion class (I went to a Catholic high school). He has this attitude that high school kids are not allowed to have their own opinion and forced them to reflect the opinion that he wants to hear, during an oral or written project or otherwise. If we didn't, or if he simply didn't like us, he would fail us. I constantly got crappy grades in his class. I was just glad I didn't get stuck taking religion with him. He was one of these bible thumper, true believers. One time, when we talked about how to say church in French, he turned our FRENCH class into a religion class for 45 minutes and we debated all this crap from the bible.
Well, around the middle of the semester, we drew from a hat to determine what unit were going to get for our oral final exam. I ended up picking unit 6, the fashion unit. I knew that infomation backwords and forwords because I had done it so much in previous years. So I was completely confident and I was just like 'yay! I don't need to study for my final!'
However, here's what happened the day of the final exam:
I look on the sheet outside the door which posted what unit each person was doing, and the time of the exam for each person. I find my birthday (birthdays were used for privacy reasons), and scroll my finger across for the unit again. What did it say? Unit 4, the travel unit, which I hardly knew at all. WHAT THE HELL? So I march in there and ask what happened. He claimed that I picked that unit. It was a load of bullshit. I picked unit 6 and I told him that. He refused to listen and forced me to do it on unit 4. He deliberately changed it, so that I would fail! I did terribly on the final and I barely passed his class with 53%. After that, I refused to take French ever again. I also made sure that I was not in his religion class. I've since lost much of the French I've learned, but I focused on Japanese instead. He screwed many, many people over this way, in one way or another. 95% of the student body absolutely hated him. It was obvious that he does not like teaching. I don't understand why he's there.
However, get this. My friend who just finished grade 10 this past school year got detention from him one day. I forget what it was, but it was for something stupid and trivial. The French teacher went into his little side room to talk to the social teacher and he left the door open. The social teacher asked him why he had been so stressed out lately. It turned out that he cheated on his wife with another teacher at school and that she was divorcing him because of it. They have 7 kids. So, my friend heard all of this and told everyone. News like that spreads like wild fire. Soon, everyone was making fun of him. Several people went up to him and asked how his divorce was. We even planned on making fun of him at our grad. Of course, he couldn't make it "because his daughter had a ballet residle". That just goes you show you what he thought of all of us, but at this point I really don't care. I find it funny as hell, and so did our whole graduating class, and the entire student body.

I tell you... I used to work at Super Wal-Mart , for about 4 years, as a cashier, well somedays it would be pack and you usally you wouldn't get your lunch or go home on time. Well I was one of the fastest cashier there and I had customers Thank me for getting them in a hurry, some customers were so please that i often seen them every week(most became my regular customers). Well one day one of my managers call me to the office. I didn't know what was going on so i went. My manager told me that i was Fired because i was short of money( which was $3.37 ) but she said i keep on getting short of money. I been doing this for about four years so i know how to count money , plus I was short of until the beagging of my fourth year. So i accept that a left but not without a fight. I called the Wal-mart District manager and ask if i could be reinstated, but he said no beacause I Was To Fast. To fast for what i ask, and he said"Your to fast when you scan your items, and that's way your short of money" ! So I told him because I Scan to Fast and he Said Yes! So being the fastest cashier got me fired. Four Years for Nothing, Now that's getting SCREW!!

When I was 16 I worked at a movie theatre that would screw me over all the time. When I started the job I was told that I would move around all of the positions with the exception of janiter and manager and that working holidays was not required. It started when I told her that I couldn't work the 4th of July because that was the only time I could schedual surgeory with my doctor. The manager said she would consider it, but schedualed me to work anyways. I told the district manager and things were cleared up and I was able to have my surgeory. The trouble with the manager got worse when I requested to start moving around in positions. She said no because I was too young, hadn't worked there long enough, and didn't work enough hours during the week. I was mad because I was older then most of the ushers and had worked there longer then about half of the staff and had more hours to boot. Basically I got the impression the woman didn't like me for no reason at all. Then more problems came about when I told her that I couldn't work holidays because my parents are divorced and it was my dad's year to have my sister and I. She got angry and told me that if I was going to take all of the holidays off that I shouldn't expect to continue working there. I was pissed. I took off my vest and threw it down and walked out in front of a rush of customers. I probably should have reported her to the district manager, but it doesn't matter now.

Baby_joe's story reminded me of the time I worked cahier at a drug store. I'd been there two weeks, and was scheduled for a day off but they called me in to work 2 hours. I naturally agreed and did the 2 hours. The next day when I went in they called me up to the office and said I was $100 short, and so was fired. Now, there's no way to lose $100 in 2 hours, so it wasn't innacuracy, so they must have assumed I stole it. But to think I'd be stupid enough to steal from my own drawer?! They had no controls over the drawers, not like the supermarket I also worked at, where all drawers were locked with numbered locks and had to be sealed and opened in the presence of a manager. At the drug store, they were just left in the office. But instead of figuring that someonw walked in and helped themselves, they turned to me to blame.
Maybe the most annoying thing was that they didn't accuse me of taking the money, because then I could have defended myself, they just pretended I was incompetent.

Be careful with this one, there is a bit of a pun involved. Dr. Spooner described his visit to a castle: "In the center of the fortress was the Palace Court. The gated entrance to this area was the court palace."

Roastedtwinkies... god... there's kind of teacher that my sister had to deal with like that. except it was Honors English. why schools like to hire horrid teachers is beyond me.
Before I moved to MI, my parents were planning on moving to New Zealend. My parents had contacted one guy, and he said that he could get my dad a job. you know what? he couldn't. He screwed over my dad. He couldn't get my dad a job and all our plans were screwed. my dad had already quit his job. I think the guy was fired.
