Hi, it's me, Jennifer, making a long topic again. This is a topic about forgotten memories you recalled subconsciously. As I will mention later in this topic, I keep a diary but didn't record this event. This is a true story that happened to me.
Return to Oz is completely different from The Wizard of Oz. I loved The Wizard of Oz, it was a classic and not scary at all. I would watch it so many times as a kid. I remembered everything about it, every scene, every last detail, all the songs, I even made my own movie of it, I memorized the script, then filmed it for fun. I even dressed up as Dorothy for Halloween twice. I watched the Wizard of Oz when I was one. However, Return to Oz, the sequel, was like a horror movie. Anyway, after watching the Wizard of Oz a billion times, when I was six I saw Return to Oz. Return to Oz was not the happy movie the first Oz was. First of all, their was this lady who had a collection of live heads, Yes, heads. The lady had this hall of, like, 200 live heads and would take off her head and put on other heads. She did that over and over again. Then she wanted to do something to Dorothy. When Dorothy was sleeping the lady who was now headless was screaming Dorothy Gale and Dorothy had to escape. As Dorothy was running, all the heads were screaming. As if that wasn't frightening enough, Aunt Em sent Dorothy to a haunted hospital which was going to use shock treatment on Dorothy for her hallucinations. Now, if a lady who collects heads and tries on different heads isn't scary enough we have the wheelers who have wheels for arms and legs and stuff who chase Dorothy. Oh, as if that's not scary enough the whole land of Oz has turned to stone, so it's a ghost town and is all creepy and a clock tries to help her. Why this movie is rated G the world will never know, it should be rated R.
Anyway, I was one when I saw the original, I loved it and watched it so many times. I was six when I saw the sequel, and the lady who collected heads freaked me out and I blocked everything of my memory. I keep a diary all the time, but not when I was six. I started keeping a diary when I was seven, so this event was not recorded, therefore it was remembered in some other form. This movie haunted me, but I forgot all about it. Ten years later, however, I have a dream that I am sucked into Return to Oz. Oz is frozen over, I meet that weird clock dude. Then I am being chased by the wheelers and have to escape. Then I see the lady with all the heads who is wearing the same exact head she wore when she first met Dorothy. Things happen, then she chases me through the room with the heads. For some reason in the dream it kept flashing back between the Return to Oz story to my Gradma's house and then back and forth. It would flip there, then to my Grandma's house. I get freaked out by my dream. Awhile later, I mention it to my mom and she tells me that the place I saw the movie at was my grandma's house. So that's how it got in to my dream. Ten years later my subconciousness remembers an entire movie, all of the characters' exact appearances, the names of all the characters, the entire plot and the exact place I saw it ten years ago, while my conscious couldn't rememeber it. I find that dream haunting, how my memory remembered something I blocked out. I still love the orignal version, The Wizard of Oz. However, the sequel, Return to Oz, is another story. Somehow it, as well as the place I saw it haunted my subconsciousness ten years later.
Now, tell about a story how you recalled memories you blocked out subconsciously.
By the way, I heard that they played a censored version of RTO on the Disney channel where they cut out about 90% of the footage in the whole scary lady with the heads story part and all of the footage of the lady headless, most of the shots of the screaming heads and almost all the the shots of the lady putting on the heads as well as a bunch of other scary scenes and lines. That's just great, so now all the parents see the censored version, think it's fine to show to their child, buy them the uncensored version, and scare them. Bright idea, Disney channel.

Sorry. Your subconscious is still a bit wrong.
The headless body didn't attack Dorothy while she slept--Dorothy was trying to get the Powder of Life from Mombi at the time. Besides that, Tik-Tok was a clockwork robot.
Plus, it's a matter of your subconscious blowing the memories out of proportion. Had you been a few years older when you first saw it, you might not have been scared.
And if you read the book, you'll discover that it's a fair bit darker. For instance, the Tin Man's story is a LOT more detailed and there are a few more challenges to overcome--not to mention that Oz is real (Dorothy doesn't sleep until AFTER the Tornado picks the house up) and the Lion is four-legged.
Besides, in the books
the Wizard is a thieving bastard, having stolen the throne from Ozma's father.
As for the topic of weird memories...I honestly can't recall any.
