"Oh yeah. Someone is definitely tired of breathing." ("The Main Man", Part 1)

I'm writing this Sailor Moon/Green Lantern crossover AU fic called "Emerald Sunrise". It's a hybrid of Action/Adventure, Sci-Fi, Romance, and Comedy. It's about Ami (Sailor Mercury) getting a new boyfriend who just happens to be a member of The Green Lantern Corps. I'm also throwing in some other characters from other animes and some old Hanna-Barbera cartoons from the late '60's early '70's. I'm also illustrating it as well. Wish me luck. I'm gonna need it.

hm...

Simpsons
Futurama *when I see it*
South Park
Aqua Teen Hunger Force
PPG
Ed Edd & Eddy
Kids Next Door
And my all time favorite...
LOONEY TOONS!!!!!!!!!

Basicly it... some things Cartoon Network should have stopped. Dexter's Lab has gotten horrid, Cow & Chicken never should have been made... I Am Weasel is even worse...
Cartoon Network's Cartoon Cartoons are getting kind of bad now. i mean... Looney toons are better. Who can not laugh at Yosemite Sam getting mauled by lions. or Bugs spinning a revolver and money coming out of it.  other than that... most american cartoons are kind of going down the drain...

I don't know, it was way too juvenile at first, but some of the more recent episodes have been better. Are you talking about only recent animated DC adaptations or do older ones like Superfriends count too? If you still think Teen Titans is the worst I have 4 words for you: WONDER TWIN POWERS ACTIVATE!

Also as long as we're talking about Cartoon Cartoons, I used to be addicted to Powerpuff Girls and Johnny Bravo, but I haven't watched any of those in a while. I stopped watching after there weren't any new episodes for a while, and from what I've heard about the new episodes that finally got made, I haven't missed much. Those were the only two Cartoon Cartoons I really liked. Never got too into Dexter's Lab, and it's impossible to watch Cow and Chicken more than once a year.

I count all the adaptations. I love the live action Batman series so the corniness of Wonder Twins & Superfriends don't phase me.

Teen Titans would be better if the characters were likable. But to me they're all generic stereotypes. Robin is overpowered, Cyborg is the strong black dude, Starfire is an idiot, Beastboy is useless and not funny, and the dark angsty girl..whats her name...just sucks. I can't stand dark heroes.

In all fairness to Starfire [and I know it's lame that I'm defending an animated character ^^;;], she acts dumb because she's not fimilar with things on Earth, she's used to doing things on her home planet. She is also not used to Earthling behavior. I'm assuming that she learned most of her Earth culture from Televison. I havn't seen Teen Titans in a few weeks, but I avn't really seen any character delopment for Starfire outside the fact that she has a sister. I don't think may people has had their background stories told.

And the dark character is Raven. I don't like her because she's the stereotypical "Dark Character". Beastboy is alright. He'll do or say something that will make me laugh. Cyborg is alright if he's teamed with beastboy. He really doesn't have any good lines. Robin is ok for who he is. I guess I'm alittle biased towards him because I like his voice actor.
And really, why shouldn't we be afraid? In case you haven't heard, life is terminal. Cigarettes will kill you. So will your cellphone. Your car is a deadly weapon and alcohol is a quiet killer. Don't lick the lead-based paint on the walls. Don't lick the back of a postage stamp and certainly don't lick any strangers! That will bring you down quickly indeed. Don't drink the water but don't drink less than eight glasses a day. Your enviroment is toxic, your natural resources are dwindling, your days are numbered, but what ever you do, don't panic! The stress, don't you know, will kill you.

Parallax: I edited your list becuase you included anime and the thread is over american-made cartoons.

Gads, I forgot quite a few.
PowerPuff Girls, The OLD My Little Ponies, Dexter's Lab (mostly the older episodes. The new ones suck.), and Fairly OddParents.

I saw the most hilarious episode of Billy and Mandy today..they were making fun of Harry Potter, and Hogwarts...the kid meant to parodize Harry Potter was named Nigel Planter, and he had a big "L" scar on his forehead. Nothing like a good parody..

Joey: The question is, Rachel, does he like you? ''Cuz if he doesn''t, then it''s all just a moo point.
Rachel: Huh...a...moo point?
Joey: Yeah. It''''s like a cow''s opinion. It doesn''t matter....It''s moo.

Fairly OddParents

Okay, I'll finish this list later, it's 10:53 and Sailor X has a geography project to do.

I actually used to like the Superfriends cartoons with the Wonder Twins when I was a kid. I don't remember the ones with Wendy and Marvin and Wonder dog, they must have stopped showing those by the early 80's when I was watching it. But having watched them now, I can see how incredibly corny they are. I see Teen Titans as somewhat the same. They're aiming at a pre-teen audience. Justice League has gotten pretty mature. The last several episodes have even featured some implied sexual inuendo. There need to be some superhero shows that younger kids can watch. But I still find Teen Titans less corny than Superfriends ever was, and I believe the last few episodes have been focusing more on the plot and characterization.

I actually kinda like Raven. I like dark characters. Her biggest problem is that she's usually more sarcastic than she is dark. Beast Boy reminds me a lot of Nightcrawler on X-Men: Evolution only a lot more juvenile. He's not completely useless though, he's been able to help bring down or at least distract the bad guys in his animal forms a lot.

For me, it's South Park all the way, I just love the show and still find it funny even though it's going into its seventh season and people are trying to say it "jumped the shark" because Kenny isn't killed every episode anymore. Family Guy is another one that tops my list, I miss that show so much and can't wait till I have enough cash to buy the DVDs(I never seem to have any cash..:P) I like some of the Xmen cartoons, I'll sometimes also watch Invader Zim too. I like Futurama, and only the early episodes of the Simpsons. I just can't manage to watch the new episodes, and I'm always wondering, out of curiosity, if the show will still be on when I'm an adult..

Wow. I really am outnumbered when it comes to the Family Guy.
I just cannot stand the father, or the teenaged son. They both annoy me so damn much.
