Rachel: Huh...a...moo point?
Joey: Yeah. It''''s like a cow''s opinion. It doesn''t matter....It''s moo.

Canada still is. I mean, it's not a bad thing. It's not like Britain is this crushing oppresor that can't just let us be us. Canada used to do a lot of British things and customs, but I believe sometime during the 30s-40s, we became more American so that we could do better business with them. A lot of government officials take an oath pledging alliegence to the Royal Family and what not. It's actually a good thing for us because in case of war, Britain is our ally. You can learn more about Canadian history by checking out your local library ^_^.

Just to set a few things straight. Canada is a commonwealth country like astralia, America, india, etc. (If you are asking why i said america that is becaouse for a short period in the beginning america was a british colony. I don't know how long it was one only that it was one for a short time.) As i was saying Canada became its own country after WW1. Since then Canada is not part of the british empire. We still have and use alot of british customs and governing ways and we still use the queen but other than that it is a free state. This is why we celabrate Victoria Day ( Canadas independace day).

One more thing on previous talks there is always somebody that points out that we still use the queen in our government. The thing is that because Canada is independant we can cut the monarcy off any time we want. As long there is a majority yote that is.
