I have to say squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

I just finished watching a clip from I <3 the 90's. Just take a wild guess why! I downloaded it from www.hansonhotel.com. There was a Hanson mention! The mention was mainly positive, though Art Alexakis from Everclear said "Are they talking about masturbation?" Host: "which comes from boom boom boom.. are you masturbating in there? MMM...." I'll admit, I did think that part was funny. Even as a fan, I still gotta laugh.

Molly Culver: "I was embarassed at the time, but I'm proud now to say that I listened to MMMBop" Then it shows a CG scene where she's in the car scene with the guys and trying to sing the chorus of MMMBop.

Isaac Hanson: "I have yet to meet someone who can properly sing the chorus. No offence people, but..."

Taylor: "It's not that hard" (Taylor seems to interrupt a lot XD)

Isaac: "It's not that hard"

Isaac, Taylor and Zac Hanson: *slowly says the chorus*
(btw, that was recent footage)

That clip really made my day. In case you haven't already noticed, did you know that I'm a big Hanson fan (for 7 years now, since MMMBop came out in 1997)? Hahahah <3

Thumbs up to the people at I <3 the 90's! That seems like such a great show!

Yeah I highly doubted Sailor Moon was gonna get a mention... (snip) The Lorena Bobbit, Snow, and Ace of Base coverage had some funny comments too. I could've sworn Ace of Base was earlier than '94 though
Keep in mind that Vh1 doesn't always do things completely in order. They didn't cover My Little Ponies until 1984 Strikes Back, and the first ponies came out in late'82, early '83. The way I figure it, they factor in popularity also. So if something comes out in a certain year, but isn't at the height of popularity/isn't well known until later, they'll mention it later. So, technically, Sailor Moon *could* get a brief mention later. Maybe.
I wasn't sure about that... (not cover everything the year it came out but at the height of popularity) but okay. And still, let's face it SM was never as popular as many other 90's cartoons ( I mean in the US). Simpsons, DBZ, Pokemon, etc. I mostly blame it on the timeslots SM got. I'm pretty sure SM was getting the highest ratings around '97 or '98. And well they're at '98 now and nothing. There's an extremely slim chance of them covering Sailor Moon for 1999.

Did they cover Pokemon?

I recall my TV Guide saying this is one of things the'd cover in '99.

This show was a big disappointment for me. Maybe it's the fact that most of the "commentators" annoy me. It just really doesn't bring back the feeling of the 90s that I had hoped it would.

However, occasionally I was surprised and thrilled to see the former Pink Ranger or the actress who played Rayanne on My So-Called Life.

Did they even mention Blossom?

Yeah, I've been watching the show and reminiscing over the silly things. I want the '90s back! Stupid Millennium.

The Power Rangers. I watched that show religiously. I wanted to be the Pink Ranger... Shut up! >_>;;

Beanie Babies. I sill have over a hundred Beanie Babies. I used to be able to recite their names. Damn you, Snip the Cat. Damn you.

Xena still kicks ass.

Nope. They also didn't cover Ellen DeGeneres's coming out, or Roseanne singing the National Anthem (ha! HA!) all of which are things mentioned in the descrpitions for the corresponding episodes. I checked for Pokemon twice in '99 (DVR'ed it and fast fowarded through it ) and I know they filmed it, 'cause there's a small clip on last week's Best Week Ever of Hal Sparks holding a medium Pikachu plushie. Wonder why they didn't show these?

And does anyone else think they've taken the "I Love the..." format too far? I can stand more of it, as in the '70's, 80's strikes back, Best Week Ever, and the '90's, but I'm very tired of A2Z and All Access, which are kind of copies of the same format (B, C, D, and Z-list celebrities sit and talk about stuff). They've taken a good thing and run with it.
That avatar is a self portrait. Really. Really. No matter how much it looks like D'Angelo, that's me. .... Oh, just shut up.

They might do I <3 the 90's strikes back, like they did for the 80s. But I seriously doubt there going to cover Sailor Moon. I mean I don't think it was even *that* popular for people to go, "wow I remember that!" Unlike Goodfellows or something.

The Snapple Lady said there's gonna be an 'I love the 90s: Part Deux.' Maybe they'll show Sailor Moon there, but I really really doubt it.

I'm looking foward to that too!! Wow, I haven't posted here in a while, lol. Been tired. It seemed like there was a lot of stuff they didn't cover in the last one. They left out Titanic! I'm so lame, I think I'm the only person on the forum who actually likes that movie, lol. Ohh well.

I could have sworn that I remembered them talking about Titanic...

Oh man, I got sucked into watching all of the decades. It's so addictive. I was a little distrubed about what they said about He-Man. But I did think it was funny in the 90's one when they commented that isn't it a bit early to reminice about that decade. I think it would be funny if they went back further to the 60's or even the 50's.

I can't wait for part deux. It should be rather interesting.

Did anyone watch the first two episodes of part Deux last night? I missed 1990, but remembered it was on part way through 1991. Squee! I Ben Stein's rap segment is kinda disturbing o.o;

I like the I <3 the 90s shows, it's a great time to sit back and reflect on a decade I barely remember, lol...

Am I the only one who thinks "Jay and Silent Bob Will Go Gay For..." is a tad disturbing, especially since Tinky winky is their "mascot"? -_-

Just now, on 'I love the 90's part deux' Pokemon was mentioned.

I was expecting it to be longer, and talk about the characters (I was expecting someone to comment on Kojiro's crossdressing XD) but instead they talked about other perverted things..

They did show of my favorite scenes though. It's Kojiro and Musashi from the SS Anne episode, both dressed as tanned schoolgirls. Right at the part where Kojiro says "Don't I just make the coolest lil' schoolgirl?", and Musashi whacks him with a hammer. XD

I've had such a hard time keeping up with this. Hopefully I'll be able to catch up with all the episodes I missed tomorrow.

I did catch the segment with Teen Talk Barbie being whacked around. One guy literally broke her head off. it was rather amusing. That and the guys saying that she's smothering them with all that talk about 'save me a seat in class' and 'what should I wear to the dance?'. I wanted to crush her too after just a minute of that. Some toys shouldn't be allowed to talk. (Yet when I was 12 I thought it might be cool)

Ok, I was wrong earlier. I just saw the last part of 97 part deux and they are now talking about Titanic. It's so hard to keep things straight with these shows.

Worth noting: VH1 now has I Love the 80s Three-3D showing. More juicy nostalgia for me=yay.

Now only 5 more years until I love the '00s. ^_^

Anyone know if there's gonna be a I Love the 90s: 3D? Or did they just do the '3D' series for the 80's?
