to me, one problem with the Harry Potter books is it only shows Harry's viewpoint. showing it from Ron's or Hermione's would be intresting.

BUt it's anmes harry Potter so it would be Harry Potter's veiw point one thing if it was called Ron, harry and Hermione then I'd agree that showing it from one viewpoint would not be on. However it would eb intressting but it's the ladies book adn she has shown she can do what she want's

At times she was really annoying and selfishlike, but I guess I can understand her view too, that she felt she needed to talk about it, and thought Harry would understand and have the feeling too. I think in the next book he may finally understand the feeling a bit more (once he & everyone else tries to stop avoiding the subject.)
I agree for the most part and I do hope that Cho gets a chance to redeem herself in the next book, though I don't see her playing that big a role in the rest of the series.
On a sidenote my fav. characters are Ron, Sirius, & Ginny.
Characters I just simply enjoy are Tonks, Lupin, Moody, Angelina (in OotP), & Draco
I almost forgot about Tonks. I liked what we saw of her, but she didn't get enough to do. I'm sure we'll see more of her, JKR would not introduce a character like her with her ability and not use it.
I'm a R/Hr Shipper myself ^_^ I also ship Harry/Ginny & Harry/Cho (which seems unlikely now)
I still prefer either Harry/Cho (which yes does seem unlikely now) or Harry/Luna. I'd also put Ginny and Neville together since they both need someone.

I really like Harry Potter!! My favorite characters are Harry, Ron, Ginny, Hermione, Luna and Neville. I really hate the bad rap it gets because people think it promotes the occult and crap. My favorite couples are Harry/Ginny Ron/Hermione and Neville/Luna.

I felt the same way about the casting (Dumbledore, Sirius, Lupin) until I saw the trailor. You're not the only one having issues getting it to download, hopefully they will fix it soon.

I LLLLLLUUURVE Harry Potter, Luna in particular :P . She's just so intriguing, and I'm pretty sure that she and Harry will end up together. I sent the idea to mugglenet.com a while ago.
One thing I didn't like about OotP was the lack of mystery. In Goblet of Fire you had to reread the book a few time to enlighten yourself (like the first chapter). In OotP that was not required. I love that book though, my deluxe edition is very prominent on my hutch.

Well, we shall see. Hopefully I can download it at the gaming center. First, it wouldn't even OPEN right, and now, it's buffering every two seconds, and I can't even view it. Ugh.

Since I am, as many of you here seem to be, a huge Harry Potter fan, and one who's been desperate for any news on the series, I was overjoyed today to find out the title of Book 6! It is: (I'll spoiler this just in case, though I'm sure no one will be able to avoid hearing this.)
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
No release date though, so I'm still champing at the bit!
Things I think Are Funny Early in the Morning: If Batman were a Smurf: "Quick, Robin! We must smurf down to the Batcave and smurf the Batplane! Then we must smurf the batsmurf so we can smurf where the Joker is smurfing!"

The Croonerism Spate (explanations upon request)
Be careful with this one, there is a bit of a pun involved. Dr. Spooner described his visit to a castle: "In the center of the fortress was the Palace Court. The gated entrance to this area was the court palace."

ah, that's good news. i'll probably be an adult when it comes out, though. i absolutely loved order of the pheonix, my definate favorite (for now). i agree that it felt more realistic with the character's personalities in this one, not only harry, but all of them. i especially like that neville actually had a bigger part in this book too. the introduction of luna was one of the best things about it, she's now my favorite character (sorry, ron). as for pairings and such, i like the idea of ron/hermoine, harry/luna, and neville/ginny. luna and ginny is also a good one, i never would have thought of that! that would be great, a lesbian relationship. not to mention, it would give the anal-retentive mothers more to bitch about (they're so funny).

I don't think J.K. Rowling is actively trying to piss people off. If she puts in a lesbian relationship, it will be because she wants to (and quite frankly, I don't see it happening), not because she wants to make people angry.

Hmm... interesting title! I wonder to whom the title is refering? I can't wait until the next story comes out. I was a little dissapointed with Order of the Phoenix, the middle draged on a bit too much, I only really liked the ending. But now the story looks like it's increasing pace towards the finale, so a lot of plot holes should be getting filled. :)

My favourite characters are my far Sirius Black and Remus Lupin, which may explain why the third book is my favourite. I was really please with how they were both portrayed in the latest film, especially Gary Oldman's performance. :)

Oh, and about Sirius:
I'm a little annoyed he got such a lame death scene, I wished he could have perhaps died protecting Harry from Voldemort or another villain. That would have been a good way to end his character. Oh well... but I do think he is dead, and won't come back. I know it's sad... but I just get that feeling...
Still, I hope to see more of Remus in the next book too. :D
yeah, when i first read it, i hadn't even figured out that he died until they said so. i was like, "what?! when the hell did that happen?!"
i really hate people who say that harry potter is for little kids. they probably say that because the movie do have a bit of a kiddy feel to them. i defy anyone who says harry potter's a little kid's book to read OoP, and see if they don't change their tune. what really bothers me is that most people who say that haven't even read the books--or seen the movies for that matter.

Well, the story is that the book 6 title is one JKR wanted to use for Book 2 before she decided on Chamber of Secrets. But she's also said that
the eponymous Half-Blood Prince is neither Harry nor He-who-must-not-be-named
I didn't think OotP dragged at all, because the books are supposed to be way in-depth. When the series is over and we have nothing more to look forward to, we're going to want as much detail as we can get. I hope the last two books are 500,000 words each. ^_^
My favourite characters are my far Sirius Black and Remus Lupin, which may explain why the third book is my favourite. I was really please with how they were both portrayed in the latest film, especially Gary Oldman's performance. :)
Book 3 is my favorite too, because of the first four,
it's the only one where the "twist" was a seemingly bad character turning good, instead of the other way around.

I'm afraid you're right, since it's in there somewhere that "no magic can revive the dead," but his death was way too vague. He should have just taken an AK (the spell, not the gun) to the chest to snuff it.
I really enjoy the Harry Potter series. Hermione is my favorite character. I can relate to Hermione a lot in many situations. The characters in the Harry Potter series are great. They each have their own personality. I love Harry, Hermione, Draco, Ron and the rest of the gang. Hermione is my faovrite out of all the Harry Potter characters. I have a feelign a plot similar to the plot in Final Fantasy IV may ensue. When Ron sees Harry and Hermione together, Ron betrays them out of jealousy and helps the enemy to get Harry killed, but then he comes back and realizes that he shouldn't have done that. I really enjoyed the way they portrayed that plot in Final Fantasy IV and Final Fantasy VIII, so I think it would work very well in the Harry Potter series. I think Hermione should get together with either Harry, Draco or Ron. I really enjoy this series and look forward the the next book's release.
Usagi and Mamoru are my favorite couple ever. Usagi and Mamoru forever!
