Your Blood Type?

Post by KoiNoVash » Tue Oct 21, 2003 9:07 am

Hardly anyone asks this question here in the states ne? So what is your bloodtype? Mine is O. Everyone origionally thought it was A since both my parents are A, but the blood bank said that mine was O since my parents were really AO type blood. There is only a 25% chance of that happening, weird ne?

I'm 90% positive that mine is B. My mother has B and my grandmother [gone now] had AB. My mom told me that chances are I was 90% B, 4% poss. AB and 6% O [my dad's type]. As soon as I find a place where I can donate blood, i can find out.

@o. I really dislike the look of human blood. It makes me want to faint. My knees get weak and I get light-headed. Seriously. It's why i can't become a doctor.
And really, why shouldn't we be afraid? In case you haven't heard, life is terminal. Cigarettes will kill you. So will your cellphone. Your car is a deadly weapon and alcohol is a quiet killer. Don't lick the lead-based paint on the walls. Don't lick the back of a postage stamp and certainly don't lick any strangers! That will bring you down quickly indeed. Don't drink the water but don't drink less than eight glasses a day. Your enviroment is toxic, your natural resources are dwindling, your days are numbered, but what ever you do, don't panic! The stress, don't you know, will kill you.

Wow.
I have no idea what my bloodtype is.
But I did donate blood right after 9/11. My work was having a blood drive van, so I went over there. Everything was going fine; I was laying down, the needle-thing (i guess it was an I.V.?) was inserted...then I turned over and looked at the blood. Ig uess the sight of it going into a bag made me swoon, and i fainted. Next thing I know, the factory's nurse is yelling at me "WHERE ARE YOU!?" and I irritably replied "RUSSELL STOVER!! Leave me alone!" and then I heard multiple sighs of relief. Then t he nurse said "You're dad would have killed me if you'd have fallen!!" (You see, my dad is of high position over there), and then she shoved a juice box in my hand and they finished it. I felt light-headed and nauseous all the rest of the day, and my arm hurt like a mofo.
I got a free t-shirt tho. W00t.

Joey: The question is, Rachel, does he like you? ''Cuz if he doesn''t, then it''s all just a moo point.
Rachel: Huh...a...moo point?
Joey: Yeah. It''''s like a cow''s opinion. It doesn''t matter....It''s moo.

And Tiff, the same thing happened to me when I gave blood only it was because I have such a low blood pressure. The nurse said I was chalk-white. I got an excused absense from school that day ^.^

I don't know what my blood type is, and I really don't care. Unless I'm suspected to be dying, NO doctor is stabbing me with a needle! I hate needles! I can't stand looking at them, or having them in me! They scare the crap out of me! (I threatened to kill a nurse one time because she brought out a really big needle without explaining to me what was going on. I had an IV in my arm, cause the doctors were taking x-rays of my kindeys, and she was going to insert the needle into the IV, but she didn't tell me. When I saw the needle, I told her that if she tried to put that needle in my arm, I was going to stab her in the neck with it. I had to get a different nurse because I scared her so bad!) I would donate blood, but I pass out very easily whenever I give blood. I had less than a cup taken one time, and I passed out from it. I just can't lose any blood. I may have less in my body or something. I've heard about it before, but can't remember the name of the disorder. I'd talk to my doctor, but he'd just want to stab me again.

I don't remember my blood type. I know I've been told it before, but it's one of those things, like my pants size and my social security number that I keep forgetting everytime I'm told it. My mom knows, I guess I'll have to ask her sometime next time I remember.

I few weeks ago I was at a local shopping center and they had a blood van, and I decided I should do some good and donate some blood. But then I had to fill out some forms, and marked that I had had some symptoms in the last few days that could have been a cold or flu but I was never diagnosed. They wouldn't let me give blood because I could have had something that could be spread. Try to do a good deed!

I think I'm type O, like Chibi-Usa-sama. I might give blood, but I'm not sure. I'm not scared of seeing blood, though, since I'm probably so used to it. I've had a lot of nosebleeds since I was younger, and I hear it's inherited from my dad. I'm not scared of seeing my period blood too.

Why do guys get so freaked out over hearing about periods? I'm a gay (not a straight one, granted), and I'm fine with people talking about it. I'd rather know, than do something I shouldn't. For instance, if one of my friends is PMS-ing, then I know not to do something to make her cranky. Besides, its just a natural function of the body.

Off-topic: This is related to the period thing, and the guy thing. How many guys are embaressed to hear about tampons/pads? Or even know about them? I saw those commercials for that mini-tampon, where the guys think its a twinkie. I never thought that. I knew what it was the first time I saw it. I was wondering why he was shaking it, and why she said "Aren't you on a diet?" My mom had to explain that he thought it was a twinkie.

Last time I post off topic about this I swear! ^^;
blood vessels are basically the tubes that contain blood and they're clear. Arteries come from heart(red with oxygen), veins go to heart (blue because of no oxygen, look green because of the yellow pigments in your skin), capularies connect them (purple because of mixture of oxygenated blood and non oxgenated blood).

Kudos to a guy who doesn't give a shit when it come to girls and their cycles. It's a natural part of being a woman. It's necessary. It's a part of why you people were born. I don't understand why people get so freaked out, either. So we bleed from our crotch. Big deal.

ok, i dont care about the tampon and everything, but when you say hey i enjoy watching my watever bleed/ejaculate, etc, that super but it can make others uncomfy. i do like to know if a girl is PMSing, cuz i stay away. and i dont get why you pointed out your sexuality? example? i dont know, but i dont like blood that much at all, and if it makes me uncomfy to see blood, that makes me a bad person?
