Who here wants to do it?

I already have a series of fics chosen and everything...now all I need are the players...

The fics I have chosen are from the series Eiga Sentai ScanRanger by a self professed sentai freak/Power Rangers hater/complete moron named Vince Jones, and it's about a bunch of film geeks who get high scores on a test and are therefore summoned to work for Project Paramount, a secret military group that has been working on the stupidest fighting machines I have ever heard of. Continuity errors, horrid grammar and general stupidity abound.

Sounds like fun, but I have many thoughts and questions:

-JNP, are you going to serve as editor?
-I haven't seen a -Ranger show since the ahem. . . "original" MMPR. So I probably won't know some of the references, but I think I can come up with some good stuff nonetheless.
-Do you have this Vince Jones's OK? Ethics say you're supposed to at least try to get it before Misting.
-Even if you do, a higher law demands do self-promotion here, so we'd have to find a webpage elsewhere, or post them to RATMM or, hm, do Shinji's Vault or Web Site Number 9 still operate?

If all that's taken care of, then I'm in. I'll try to work out something on the first fic as an audition.

-I meant this as an RPG style thing that will be played out here on the forums if it doesn't take up too much bandwidth.
-OK...basically the bad guy claims to have whomped some serious evil ass at one point and refers to the baddies by name, but other than that a few plot ideas are all but stolen from Power Rangers, despite the fact that the series is a vehicle for Power Rangers bashing.
-Actually, parody is still protected by the Fair Use doctrine.

I'd love to, but I have no idea how actually BEING part of a group MST works, so someone would have to help me along.

I also haven't seen much of Rangers, but like sailorasteroid I could probably come up with some good riffs.

I'm fairly certain that the admins have have said no to other proposed Forum-RolePlays. You should probably just PM Dan and ask him about it. Actually I think you should have done that before creating the topic, but better late than never.

Yeah, Parakisu is right, we've said no to other RPG stuff for the forums here, as we want to keep this forum a discussion board and not really stray away from that. So this thing isn't going to happen on these forums, I know there are other places you can find or create your own places to do something like this. So I'm locking this one since there's no point in keeping the thread going.
