Here's a near impossible one for Fire Emblem: Fuuin No Tsurugi:

Level up Merlinus to level 20. Good luck, he has to dodge 1900 attacks to get that. ;)
-Adam Picard-
Blake? oh, like a coffee break!!
Poet? What is that? Is it tasty? Is it a popular new snack? Usagi, Stars 179

James: For some reason I'm seeing you in a nurse's uniform...
Steve: Thank you Jeff, that will be all. ... He's not here, is he? Oh God I've internalized him...
-Coupling; The Freckle, the Key, and the Couple who weren't

'Who will tell us about this? Oh, no it is didnt know New Orleans was underwater guy.'

Playing some old skool stuff reminded me of this very hard (re: near impossible) challenge:

Beat Episode 4 "Thy Flesh Consumed" of Doom on hard difficulty while finishing each level with 100% Items, 100% Kills, and 100% Secrets and no cheating.

Trust me, fighting 5 Barons of Hell with only 12 rockets and whatever shells and clips you can scavenge is going to be nearly impossible! And this is only the first level!
You seem like the kind of person who'll lie.
However... this sword doesn't lie.

Playing any version of DOOM past level 15 of DOOM 2 without cheating and getting better than 50% on anything, and you're pretty awesome.

Some other good ones I know of are:

Play Thief: The Dark Project on Expert difficulty, and do not disturb anything. (Meaning you cannot use the Blackjack, throw objects, or in any way distract the gaurds. Furthermore, you must return all objects you move to their original position, and close any door you open) while getting 100% treasure on each level.

Play Black & White without committing a single evil action and complete every Silver Scroll.
Stop squirming, you're making the procedure more difficult.

No way thats impossible to do! It took me the whole entire summer to work on FFVII and FFVIII for everything and damn that took to me forever to get those games done!

Which is impossible? The Emerald Weapon might be, so I guess I'll have to go try it now. The FFVII with no ultimate weapons or materia is possible, as is FFVIII with no Junctions. Both are really, really hard, but it's doable.

Well 'really hard' is a far cry from 'impossible'. The idea behind the challenges is that they are really hard.

Your right but the reason for the walkthrough besides the special bosses or weapons is that I won't miss anything so I won't mess up the game.

-Beat all five paths of Silhouette Mirage without using any continues.

I can beat two of them without any continues, but the two that end with the harder bosses and the one with the secret boss battle after stage 4 (which you get by not using any continues up to that point anyway) I've died on.
I have beaten all five paths in the 10 continues the game gives you, though.

This actually isn't THAT hard of a video game challenge (since I've done it) but it's very time consuming and it's the hardest thing videogame wise that I've done.

I know some of us are perfectionist and like to get those "perfect" games. I think I've only done it for a few games. The only two that come to mind right now are Xenogears and Kingdom Hearts. The Kingdom Hearts perfect game isn't that difficult, but Xenogears one is.

To get a Xenogears perfect game you must:

- Get all the most powerful weapons/armor for all the characters.
- Get all the deathblows for each character.
- Get all the best gear equipment from Big Joe in the underground city (the best armor, best engine (the one with only 1000 fuel), Z-charger, the item with the highest engine boost rate, and........crap.......I know there's more to buy. See his inventory and you'll KNOW what to buy.

The gear upgrading is the most time consuming since there is next to NO way to get money in Disc 2. The only way to do it is by fighting and getting Ivory or Scales which you can sell for a decent amount of cash in...........>_< Crap that one city. Man it's been a while since I played this game. The city right next to Nisan. Not Aveh....................KISLEV!! YOU SELL IT IN KISLEV!

Crap I'm such a loser........

Well, my personal biggest challenge wasn't neccisarily beating a game, it was actually getting up the courage to try. I often don't have that much patience in games when I can't get past something, and I often abandon it. My biggest challenge was resolving to beat the Legend of Zelda-Ocarina of Time, which I had never dome before because it was too hard. AND, I ended up beating it in about 1 1/2 weeks!!! ^_^ I was quite proud of myself.

Beat Sonic the Hedgehog 2.

I have never beaten that... or my sister... and everyone SHE knows that has played it hasn't beaten that game. it's THAT hard.
You fight a REALLY good Metal Sonic... then fight a giant eggman machine with only one weakness which is only exploited when he attacks... all with NO RINGS.
Is that the one for Sega Genesis? Because if it is, then I completely agree with you-that game's near impossible to beat.

Yeah, it's for Genesis.

All the other levels *except metropolis, that is a pain at times* are pushover levels. ESPICALLY with Knux.

It's hard at first but once you've played Halo for such a long time you start to find it easier than what you would think it was.

Here's a toughie: Complete any Mega Man game (I'm thinking NES line, original Game Boy line, the classic-type Mega Man games) without using passwords or getting a game over.
