Favorite Video Game Place/Town/Castle/Village etc.

I really love Alexandria Castle from Final Fantasy IX. Alexandria Castle is like the ideal Castle. There's lots of twisty steps and it's so wonderful and cool. It's such a gorgeous castle.

I also really like Viper Manor from Chrono Cross. I loved it at night. It was so enchanting.

The whole town of Alexandria from Final Fantasy IX is great.

Sailor Moon, pay attention carefully. Look at your first paragraph. Now look at your third paragraph. Notice anything.... repetitive?

I loved the Gold Saucer in Final Fantasy VII. I can't even count how many hours of my game time were spent there, entering my Chocobo in races, winning lots of prizes..so much fun!

I also liked Halloween Town in Kingdom Hearts, if only because it does such a great job of capturing the feel of Tim's Burton The Nightmare Before Christmas.

And lastly, I liked Fisherman's Port in Final Fantasy VIII. Such a nice break from action in the game, and I like the music.

In Final Fantasy IX, Alexandria Castle and Alexandria towna re two different areas. THe Castle is separate from the town, but I adore both of them, so I thought I'd include them both.

I've got my fair share of favorite places:

~Kokiri Forest, from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
~Polpota Harbor, Domina, Junkyard, Geo, Lake Kilma and Lumina, from Legend of Mana
~Alexandria, from Final Fantasy IX
~Dollet, from Final Fantasy VIII

I only consider a few of them actually "live-able", however. :P

Big World in Super Mario Bros. 3!! ^___^. I loved that world when I was a kid, it has sentimental values.

The Sunken Ship on Super Mario World N64 because the graphics are beautiful and it seems like a calm, tranquil place (if you ignore the giant eel).

The forest on the Moon in Majora's Mask because it's got those crazy kids running around in masks (although they have some very wise and thought-provoking words).

Hmm...some of my favorite video game places would be:

Kokiri Forest (Ocarina of Time)
Hyrule Castle (Ocarina of Time)
Goron City (Ocarina of Time)
Shiver City (Paper Mario)
Toad Town (Paper Mario)
Shooting Star Summit (Paper Mario)
Star Way/Star Haven (Paper Mario)
Cinnabar City (Pokemon Red, Blue, and Yellow-NOT the Gold and Silver one)
Goldenrod City (Pokemon Gold, Silver, Crystal)
Zora Hall (Majora's Mask)
Bowser's Castle (Mario Kart) (Heh, it's my favorite course)

I'm sure that I'm forgetting some...I'll edit this post if I think of more.

City of Ancients (FF7)
Esthar Cty (FF8)
Termina (Chrono Cross)
Arlia (Star Ocean 2)
Besaid Village (FFX/FFX-2)
Kokori Forest (Zelda Ocarina of Time)
I can't think of any others at the moment. If I do, I'll edit this post.

Reasons in short- either because of the music or just overall atmosphere :)

How many people played Eathbound on SNES? I like that Mr Saturn Village. I forget the name of it. For now, until someone corrects me, I'm gonna call it the Mr Saturn Village. I just think it's such a cute village with all the Mr Saturns walking around.

Beauty Castle-(Rhapsody: A muscial adventure) The background music kicks some major butt. Along with the marble backgrounds and such...Very cool.

Shiver City-(Paper Mario)When I first saw this place, I started to freak out. "DUDE! IT'S PENGUINS! PENGUINS, I TELL YOU!!!"

Clock Town-(Majora's Mask)It is so freaking fun chasing around the Postman, going to see all the old dudes fighting in the Mayor's office, and trying not to get killed by the evil mutant dog.

Peach's Castle-(Mario 64)I tell you, I can climb trees for hours. My friends and I have this competition on who can make Mario jump off a tree most creatively. Trying the jump into the waterfall is also strangely amusing at 2:00AM. But the Mario Kart course is SO NOT COOL. I keep on taking the wrong road to the castle. :-(

Dave : Gonna cry about it?
Mr. James : Not even.
Dave : I''m sitting on a rather sharp tack.
Mr. James : That's gotta hurt.
Dave : Well, life's a bitch...
Mr. James : ...And then you die.
Dave : My...
Mr. James : ...oh...
Dave : ...my.
