I have to say that FFVII and FFVIII are my all time favorite games. I hardly don't play video games but these 2 got me hooked on the story they have. FFIX wasn't as good as VII and VIII. FFX in the other hand was a good game with everything that I always hope for. But X-2 they shouldn't make a squal( If I spell it right?)period because it will ruin what Final Fantasy is for. When the new FF game comes out I hope they don't make squal it will just ruin the game itself.

I've played out FF7 so many times I lost count, and beat 8 (including the 2 super-bosses).

I was in the progress of playing part 5, and all I've been doing is raising the Job points for my players.

I agree that part 7 is a good game, but I'm just getting tired of people treating the game, as well as the movie sequel, "Advent Children", like that it's the Second Coming of Christ!
"After all these years, you know it's not about control. It's about trying to do everything I can. And for you, it's about setting an example. Everyone looks up to you. They listen to you. If you tell them to fight, they'll fight. But they need to be inspired, and let's face it, 'Superman'...the last time you really inspired anyone... was when you were dead." -- Batman, to Superman, Infinite Crisis, issue 1

I started playing my first FF game three days ago XD ! Managed to find a Platinum (i.e: cheaper) version of FF X-2, and of course, my boyfriend thought it would be a good idea to buy it.

I'm SO lost XD ! I managed to complete 8% of the game so far (if that's what the percentage on the saving screen means XD !) and I just suck at battles XD. Can't even use the dress spheres properly (though I have White and Black mage found!) , gaaaaaah XD !

But I think I can improve, cause at least I can make my way through the game. Sorta XD .

Either way, I don't think I'll regret getting this game. Even if I'm not THAT good, I'm enjoying myself while playing :)

You can try walkthroughs at GameFaqs. I think X-2 is a very...unique RPG game. Or you can even say it's a very true RPG game because you are free to do whatever you like out of order. :?

I'm playing FFX and it's getting so hard! I keep dying. Can anybody help me with strategies? I'm at the Wendigo snow beast boss. :(

Lots of people dissed 10-2, but I'm glad to see others who like it. It was great to see the job system make a comeback, and I loved the freedom to explore the world at my whim.

I really liked 10-2. Granted, I still have to go through a lot with it, but as mentioned the freedom of going where you wanted to when is very nice, as well as the job system, being able to switch jobs in battle, and the return of AP to gain skills, not to mention learning said skills in the middle of battles. I can't wait to go through the entire game once some time frees up.

FFX-2's battle system was the best thing about the game. I like the job system, and all the different dress spheres to select from. It was a fun FF. I would've preferred more story and less mini-games though.

I haven't played any final fantasy games...

I've heard a TON of stuff about the main series- *I-XI/XII *dunno what it is at** but I can't play any because I don't own a NES/SNES/PS2...

also, here's a good FF7 comic:

it deals with Chocobos.

Yeah. That was the only thing about it; The game is actually very short if you just count the mandatory events and locations. Of course, the sheer number of side-quests make up for it.

I wish the stuff from the "International" version of FFX-2 (which was anything but) was in the regular game. They added a ton of stuff, more playable characters, new Dresspheres, all kinds of stuff...

I don't know if FF10 had extra PCs in the International version; I just know it had the Dark Aeons as 'bonus bosses', among a few others, plus a different sphere grid layout. 10-2 had Brother and LeBlanc as playable characters in the International, plus some bonus dress-spheres.

What are jobs? But if you don't complete all the quests and don't get 100%, you won't get the grand ending. :?

Jobs are basically the classes. Dark Knight, White Mage, Thief, etc

They used the term "job system" in FF5 with the different classes. FFX-2's is similar to it. In both, you can assign each character a class. Kinda like a job, since each one has a purpose.

I didn't know the International vesion had so many additions! New playable characters? Like who??? Why couldn't they include all that in the US release? ~_~

I got 99% on my game. So I got all of the ending except for one scene
There's supposedly a scene of Yuna and Tidus in Zanarkand following the FMV where he comes back
I don't know what I missed! as soon as I'm done replaying FF8, I'm gonna go through FFX-2 again, and take a look at the guide since I have it now. And try to figure it out.

And Square-Enix has been pulling that bullshit with a lot of games lately, notably FFX (though strangely Europe got that too...) and Kingdom Hearts...

Dark Aeons, mostly. Something about a revamped Sphere Grid too, I believe. Europe got that version, as did Japan, but we didn't...
