HALO 2

Does anyone here know when HALO 2 is coming out? I've been told it was going to come out last winter....didn't....I know they stopped it to update it for XBOX LIVE but that should have been done by now....does anyone know what is taking them so long...?

oh boy... there have been SO many release dates...

I don't think ANYONE besides the people producing the game and Microsoft know when it's coming out. I can't wait for it to come out on PC.

Just watched last E3's trailer. LOOKS AWSOME. espically the new warthog gunning abality. just PLAIN AWSOME!!!

I've watched that trailer like 100 times *_* it never gets old. I just found out that Bungie said the HALO 2 release date is September 1st, 2004! so that means we only have to wait around 4-5 more months for HALO 2!!! (^_^)

I thought they said November 9.

no, i read on IGN.com that the release date was sept. 1st 2004.

gamefaqs says November 9, but Bungie hasn't revealed any release date. Just says the fall on their site. I usually trust Gamefaqs on these things. so, no date has been released by Bungie so far.

Same i had the same release date november 9th 2004, but the 8 minute clip looks awesome! There's supposed to be more footage of it but not sure where :S.

Well November 9th is here, and so is my copy of Halo 2, Limited Collector's Edition of course. ^_~ I must say, I really enjoy this game so far. Picked up right from the end of the last one, and seems to have a more indepth story. Good amount of new weapons as well as some new vechiles to drive, you can even use a tank in this one which just kicks major ass. The soundtrack for Halo 2 is just awesome, kicking it up a notch from the already great Halo soundtrack, and though I'm sure this holds true to the first one (I'm not sure since I haven't played it with my surround system yet) this game does a great job with the surround sound for music and effects. I haven't played on Live yet and probably will by the end of the night, but from what I've read in the instruction booklet, it looks to be awesome. One aspect to note in particular is the ability to be in clans, which I mean there's actually an option to make and/or be in clans, which seeing as an actual game feature is pretty cool. Doubt I'll be in one but it's nice to see that developers are recognizing them and realize they can program stuff for them.

Now onto the LCE stuff. For the two LE Xbox games I've bought in the past month, MK's should've been an extra $5 and Halo 2 an extra $10 (as opposed to MK $10 and H2 $5) as the two would be more fairly priced for the extras you pay for. Halo 2's LCE packaging is hands down the best I've seen for a console game. There's a clear plastic slipcase that covers a metallic case and designed picture perfect. I'm going to have to try to take pictures (or find some if someone already has) so you all can see. In the inside, there's the instruction booklet, couple small ads (7-11 Halo 2 slurpee cups and the guide and soundtrack), card for two months of Xbox Live free (if anyone wants my activation code, PM me since I have no use for two months free as I already have Live), and a small booklet titled conversations throughout the universe (which I assume adds to the storyline). The other side of the inside has both the game and bonus discs. Both discs are on the same spoke, which is extended a bit for the two discs and holds them in securly. The bonus disc is a DVD for your DVD player, not the Xbox (unless you have the remote), and has special featuires on it such as the making of the game, featurettes, deleted scenes and outtakes, art galleries, and commentaries. I haven't gone through the bonus disc, but rest assured I will soon.

All in all, great game, and awesome LE version of it. If you plan on getting the game, the extra $5 is more than worth it for the LE, so hurry and get it fast.

Halo 2 here isn't comin out till november 11th o_O, but i suppose 2 days is only 2 days so i'll be able to last! It should be one of the best FPS on the Xbox, possibly out of every gaming console.

I'll be getting my copy with some friends at midnight since it's the time they launch the game into shops.

I wish that I was a celebraty. I was watching MTV2 and some of them already have the special edition Halo 2 game and X-Box.

I want one.

That's because both are already out. I have the Special Edition Halo X-box, and Halo 2 has been out for over a month. *confused*
