Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles

Post by MarioKnight » Fri Feb 13, 2004 2:44 am

So, am I the only one here who's played this game? My old nextdoor neighbor in the dorms (who's still there) had the game on reserve and we picked it up last night. I forgot what classes we are, but I know I'm a miget with a bucket head. ^^;;;

Overall, so far, it's great. I love how it plays out with the GBAs, so each player can manage their own stuff and commands, as well as see different info on the GBA screen to help get through the dungenons. Very nice co-op game, and very fun so far, we played through year one last night, hopefully we can arrange a play session at least once a week. I know that one of my housemates will be joining us, and I'm sure we can convince our other housemate to get a GBA - GC link to make 4. ^_^

Anyone else play this game yet?

I'm still debating over this game. I've heard lots of good things about it, but I'd be the only one playing it, and it just seems more fun as a co-op. TT Also, none of the playable characters look good to me. They're all ugly. I might rent it one day, and then make my final decision off of that.

I'll have to agree with you, Parakiss. To me, it looks like a lil kids game like Final Fantasy 9. And I'm the only one in my family with a Gameboy Advance. I'm pretty sure no one around here will run out and buy a GBA for another game.

I will rent it, because I need to see how it is for myself. Is it fun playing it alone? Oh, well, I'll find out soon enough.

The FFCC advertisements do look a lot like some of the FFIX advertisements and look a bit like FFII if it was fmved and changed a bit. It's cool that others noticed it too. I love every Final Fantasy game, so obviously I'm a huge FFCC fan.

I've been interested in getting this game, but I think I will rent it first and see if I like it. I would have to play it alone most likely since I don't know anyone with a GBA.

I've heard firsthand from several friends of mine that own the game that Crystal Chronicles really isn't worth it unless you've got at least one other person to play it with. The GBA connectivity that it forces doesn't do much for me - it was cute in Animal Crossing, because it was your choice to use the GBA or not, but I don't like the idea of being forced to use my GBA for a Cube game. I've passed on it and really don't see myself changing my mind.

This game is really fun but it gets kinda of old with the bosses being the same every year. I still can't find the princess.
