Pokemon is an evil, EVIL addiction I got out of, thankfully. It was my first anime, I think... then I found Sailormoon.

I adore the Red and Yellow versions of the game and I'm totally bored with the Silver version. I collected cards and merch... everything. Oh well. I saw the Eevee episode first.

Fire Pokemon are the shi-at.

I LOVE Pokémon, I was one of the few just waiting for it to come to the states, and actually tried to convince my mom to take a trip to this one city for the preimere of it Nintendo held with a bunch of special events back in late August 1998, never went on that though. >.< The day the anime was supposed to premiere Central NY had a hell of a storm overnight that night before, and I was pretty pissed that I was going to miss the first episode and wouldn't be able to start my tapes until it started to rerun. Luckily, this was before the show was a WB exclusive and was on syndication on local stations, and my local carrier of the show (forgot who) started it from the first episode (though I later figured out it was supposed to start on that Tuesday and not on Labor Day). I got the game the day it came out, checking Toys R Us the weekend around it was supposed to come out, and sending my dad there everyday with the money to pick up the red version. Thankfully, it was a Monday so he only had to go once. I was completely hooked, playing it damn near all night, and a faithful viewer of the anime, taping near every episode before college. I also have a lot of other Pokémon merchandise as well, with posters hanging up at both my marent's house and my house.

When generation 2 came out (Gold/Silver), I was extremely impressed with everything they added into it. My Senior year of High School, because of boredom during the days for various reasons, I played it during school everyday the second semester. My goal was to beat the game only playing at school (which did include after school activities and the time I spent at the school between them), and on the last day, I owned the Elite Four. ^_^

I got Sapphire the day it came out on pre-order to get my special medallion last year, but sadly haven't played it much. So I decided to revive Senior year and play during some classes to keep myself awake. Though unlike with Gold, I won't play exclusively in class. I started this yeasterday, starting over since I wasn't too far in my file.

Also worth mentioning of my fandom is the fact I went to the first movie the day it came out. Thankfully, I went to the showing that started before the elementary schools got out, so I didn't have to worry about too many kids being there. I also own the first 17 DVDs of the show.

I just have Red, Silver, and Crystal. I REALLY wanted to get Crystal because I like playing as a girl! WOOO!!

My favorite Pokemon is Eevee because it's so versatile, and I like all of its evolutions. I wonder if it's possible to get a team of them?

You should get Ruby or Sapphire then if you have a GBA, since you can be a girl in those games too.

And it's very possible to have a team of all the evolutions of Eevee as well as Eevee itself, just make friends who don't want theirs and trade. That's one of the things I love about this game, the whole trading deal is just awesome. It makes me wish I was a lot younger when the craze started since there weren't many people in high school to trade or duel with.

And to add on to my Pokémon list that I forgot about, I also have the first TV and first movie US OSTs, and a special Japanese release as well. There was something else I wanted to mention here as well after posting that long post, but I can't remember excatly what.

I don't have a GBA and I don't want one. I also don't really want to spend my money on more Pokemon games, since I'd rather save up for ACen and get the anime series I'd like to have. Also, I watch more anime than play Pokemon, so it'd be more of a waste.

I have Sapphire, but I'm having trouble with the Fortree Gym Leader, Winona. Her Altaria keeps creaming me, and I don't have any Ice moves to counter it!

I had no trouble with Winona at all. My Gardevoir (her name is Shinobu) was taught Thunderbolt by me fairly early. I set her on Winona, and after a few Calm Minds she started KOing most of Winona's Pokemon in a single Thunderbolt (Altaria took two)

I later used Shinobu to thrash Wallace (except for the catfish Pokemon, who someone else beat), and then against most of Glacia's Spheal family Pokemon. And against just about anything else...

In short, Gardevoir kicks ass.

Either:
Get something that can learn calm mind and an electric attack, *Alakazam family, ralts family*

or,

Get a pokemon that learns Rock attacks. Preferably breed a Nosepass and a Geodude for a Geodude with Rock Slide, give the correct EV's, when it becomes Graveler, get Golem, and raise to level 32... Long story short: Dead Winona. or get something with Hidden power Ice. My Beautifly has that! ^_^

EV's, read the Advanced Trainer FAQ on Gamefaqs. belive me, I have a level 65 Dusclops with over 200 on each defense stat due to correct EV's.

Also, when Fire Red/Leaf Green comes out in America, or imported from Japan, you can be a girl in those games too! *can't wait to get Tyranitar again... same with Blackie & Eefi!*

which Poke? depending on the attack, if it's Doduo/Dodrio, understandable. I'd just go with getting a rock type or getting TM 13 from the Adandoned ship and teach it to say... a water type?

Got the bonus disc, but my parent's have taken my GBA's...

can't get Jirachi...

I believe it already is out in Japan. I found roms for both games recently (though my damn emulator refuses to play them, which is a problem on my end since the emulator sucks).

Fire Red & Leaf green are out in japan, Release date on their data on Gamefaqs says 1-29-04.

Not that I'm flaming, but that's why I said imported from japan. sucks that you can't play it on your emulator. I just want to learn Japanese, Import it...

I do not want to trek ALL the way back out to Slateport Coast from Fortree City...but I did remember my Plusle had Flash so I tried that...didn't work

simple advice: Flash sucks.

70% accuracy on ANYTHING sucks. it's not worth it.

On topic also: Colosseum is going to kick ass... can't wait to play story mode...

You got the first 17 dvds? Lucky! I've been looking into getting them but come on..the price is almost as high as when they first came out!

Just last week I gto Crawdaunt to L100. Now I got 6 L100's perfect for Colosseum. In training now is Huntail. And if it counts I'm also raising a lot of berries to x_X

If I had Colisuem, I'd put my Stadium 2 team in it, as well as Yandi (my Blaziken), Flit (my Swellow) my Lombre, and my Plusle.

About Lombre...next time I get a male Lotad, I'm naming it 'Brock', since that's who has one in the show.

What are your characters' names in the your games? Here are mine:

Red/Blue/Yellow: Ash (for sake of tradition)
Gold/Silver/Crystal: Todd (wasn't sure what this character's name was in the show at the time; still use this name over the character's actual show name.)
Ruby/Sapphire: May (my first character was named after my real name, now I use the show character's name

I've had bunches of different names, either my real name or my characters' names. Let's see, right now:
Both Red and Crystal: Farrah is my main character (girl) and Ratty is my rival. They are both characters that I made up, one is an otaku Senshi and the other is just a silly, weird villain guy. You can probably guess which is which.
