Thoughts:

Me, I think all the RPG games of these are good. only one I don't have is silver, and that's because some jackass stole it... along with a GBA...

they're not rpgs. but I don't want to go there again so for the sake of this convo they are.

anyways whats not to like about the series? the "main" games are pure addictive gold! and the majority of the side games are also of high quality though they're generally looked down upon. I'm loving POKéMON Channel myself. next week Jirachi arrives which will get me back into raising L100's for Colosseum next month @_@ and it continues.....

I never did like the way Nintendo handled the "secret Pokemon" from each version. They should have made Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, and Deoxys available in the games since not everyone can go to those places where they were giving them to people...

Ruby and Sapphire are really good, too, though I don't know what they were thinking when they picked which old Pokemon got to stay in the new games. And why the hell did Wobbuffet and Marill get pre-evolutions? (>_< I hate Wobbuffet, and I'm no fan of Marill) They did make much better use of some of the types, though.

Pokemon isn't a RPG, huh? Fine, think that. I don't consider the original NES Zelda game an RPG either =D

I like the original Pokemon Game Boy/Color/Advance games. Not the lame N64 Stadium games, not Pokemon Snap or both versions of Pinball, not Hey You Pikachu or Pokemon Channel...just Blue/Green, Red, Gold, Silver, Ruby, and Sapphire. And I'm looking forward to being able to capture ALL 380+ Pokemon in the upcoming remakes of Red and Blue/Green.

*lol* I don't think Zelda is an RPG either. :P You do not take on the role of various characters like you do in an RPG. Pokemon (for the Gameboy consoles, anyway) is one of those RPGs, so blah. :P

I got a lot of enjoyment out of RBY, but my addiction just got worse with GSC. I LOVE the day/night concept, and I loved running into Red, Blue, and Team Rocket. R/S are good, though they are a little less fun than GSC (but they are equally addictive); what happened to the day/night concept? If anything, I would trade that in for the water reflections, footprints, and all the other extra stuff that was in there.

None of the Zelda's are RPGs. So you are right.

Oh and you simply must be kidding (or high) if you think all 386 can be caught in the Red/Green retrashes. Nope. Wrong. You'll have to trade with R/S & Colosseum for the majority of them.

Actually, Zelda 2 for NES could technically be considered a RPG because you have to raise your stats in the areas of Attack, Life, and Magic throughout the game.

You're right; I forgot about Adventure of Link ^^; VERY embarrassing, considering I have it on the Gamecube.

Too bad you can't trade them through GSC also. ¬¬

I <3 Pokemon; don't ask why, but something about these games really appeals to me.

And yes, the reason for Colloseum and the Red/Blue (or Green) remakes is for Nintendo to milk every last Pokemon fan of their hard-earned cash just to get some of their old favorites again :P

I have the following:
Blue
Yellow (this is where I learned how to imitate Pikachu)
Silver (I like Lugia too)
Sapphire (my birthstone)

I have a complete Sailor Moon Pokemon team on my Silver game (that got transferred into Stadium 2) Here they are:

Persian (Serena)
Dewgong (Amy)
Ninetales (Raye)
Pikachu (Lita)
Pidgeot (Mina)
Kadabra (Trista)

Does anyone else have a Pokemon named after an SM character?

I've had plenty (as well as naming them after other anime characters and giving them plenty of funky names). These are the ones I remember:

Scyther (Darien)
Zapdos (Lita)
Lapras (Amy)
Pidgeot (Mina)
Arcanine (Rei)
Primeape (Haruka)

I think I named a Mewtwo Setsuna once.

Colosseum isn't milking jack. The R/G retrashes are though. I'll get them but just not with my own money. Personally though unlike everyone else I could care less about the oldies. I'm quite comfortable getting used to the new crew.

Can't wait for Colosseum though. The trailer on the bonus disc shows it to be alot better looking the skeptics would have ya think. *hugs her Jirachi's*

Ooh, I feel like writing a fanfic about Leo meeting up with Ash and company now!

::gets a lot of paper and a pencil::

All I need now is to dream up some Oore Gyms (for Ash) and Contest Halls (for May) so I'd appriciate suggestions.

Bah...don't even talk to me about Pokemon games...my red version was lost on a field trip to Chattanooga, and I had two L100 pokemon (Mewtwo and Charizard), my Gold version was lost due to my messiness, my Blue version got stolen, and my nephew messed up my Silver save by gamesharking it up (I don't like cheating, and he cheated to put a lot of pokemon on there, plus I think he deleted my save),.
