N-Gage

Post by Lucied » Fri Oct 17, 2003 9:51 pm

Has ANYONE actually bought this system? I think it's just a cheap ripoff of GBA

For those of you who don't know N-Gage is a new portable system that was released by Nokia about a week ago, and it has like 5 games. The only good thing I think it has going for it is that it's also a cell phone

The commercials sound creepy...

N-Gage sounds dumb. Most of its games are just Game boy Advance re-ports, but the worst thing I heard about is that there is no cartridge slot. You actually have to remove the back plastic piece and put a game in a spot behind the batteries every single time you wanna play a different game.

No news from the sales front here yet, but the UK reports are already in... and it isn't pretty for the N-Gage. At the time of the report, only 500 units were sold as opposed to 15,000 GBA's.

I'm getting a kick out of this watching the thing sinking faster than the Titanic.

Yeah, I've seen reviews for it over at GameFAQS (I have a review for Pokemon Stadium 2 posted there!) and they all pretty much say it's hard to control and hard to use.

Gimme a Game Boy Advance any day! ::hugs her purple GBA close::
