Hey guys. What Final Fantasy game made you feel emotional at a certain scene? You know, what scene, from any Final Fantasy game made you feel mad, sad, etc.
I'd like to hear about what you guys have to say!
For me,
it was the scene between Yuna and Tidus in Final Fantasy X, where they kiss in the lake. Everytime I see it, I get a warm, fuzzy feeling. I love Yuna!
There's so many emotional Final Fantasy moments.
It would take me weeks to sit here and list them all. I agree with whoever mentioned the above one
Aerith/Aeris's death
was very emotional. As well as all scenes involving Cloud's past. All the scenes in Final Fantasy VII bring out emotion in me. I always get teary-eyed whenever I replay it. Everyone's pasts make me cry. Also Cloud's past and what was and wasn't true and Sephiroth trying to confuse everybody was emotional for me.
The "Eyes on Me" scene in Final Fantasy VIII always makes me feel emotional. All the scenes in Final Fantasy VIII bring out emotion in me.
A lot of Final Fantasy IV scenes make me cry.
Same with Final Fantasy VI.
Final Fantasy IX and Final Fantasy V were extremely emotional.
I can go on and on.
Final Fantasy X's ending scene was so heartbreaking though. It was so emotional it made me extremely excited when Final Fantasy X-2 became official. I remember how at first everyone thought FFX-2 was a huge rumor. If soemone brought it up, they would be yelled at for spreading false rumors. It looked like to was a rumor, and bam- it becomes reality.

The optional side-quest in Final Fantasy VII in which
Yuffie steals all your materia and you can't go any further on in your journey until you find, and later rescue, Yuffie (mainly because it makes the boss battle at the end VERY DIFFICULT unless your characters are at a high level).
Man, did that tick me off. >_<

Another Final Fantasy moment I enjoyed was in Final Fantasy X-2's Good Ending...
Yuna finally finds Tidus in Besaid Beach. The Airship comes flying down and she jumps out to hug him. I was so happy for her.
It really made the game worthwhile!

Both times in Final Fantasy VIII when the song "Eyes on me" played (in the ragnarok and at the end) were both pretty emotional to me. Also the video with "1000 words" on it in FFX-2 was pretty emotional also.

I also agree with everything that was said. I'll just comment a little more on them
From FF7-
When you found out that Cait Sith was a spy, I was really pissed off the first time! >_<
Aeris death was one of the saddest things i've seen in an rpg. And I knew she was going to die soon, because itwas ruined for me! She's my favorite character in that game. Yet I like Sephiroth too...
From FF8
All those scenes in FF8 with Eyes on Me playing were very emotional. So was Squall's reaction when he realized Rinoa had gone into outserspace and he had to rescue her. I also loved the enitre ending. And also in the Centra Ruins flower field where Squall said he would protect Rinoa no matter what.
FFX and X-2
The ending was really sad. I really don't like Yuna in FFX but it I can't deny it was sad. The scene in the lake was so romantic too!
The good ending for FFX-2. The extra scene wasn't much but the fact Yuna gets to see Tidus again was good
Hmm not too much really "touched" me in the older FF games. Or FF9. Well FF9's ending did get to me a little.

I've got plenty of emotional scenes from FFIX, like when.....
Vivi watched Black Waltz 3 kill all those other Black Mages
The violin/cello (can't tell) playing really brought out the emotion in that scene, too. Also.....
When Zidane wanting to fight some monsters alone on his home planet, despite injury. I don't remember the scene too perfectly, because I saw it right before my memory card deleted -_-
However, I have yet to beat a Final Fantasy game (so many RPGs, and yet so little getting beaten @_@), so I wouldn't know much about the scenes all you guys are describing.
It meant so much to Yuna when the Youth League and New Yevon stopped fighting. Also, she and Lenne were singing with so much emotion, it was incredible! That song is great.
When Yuna cried at the end, I wanted to be there to tell her, "Don't Cry. It's alright."
Great concert!

I'd need to play it again, but I'm sure FFVIII made me sad:
The scene where Rinoa is sent off into space because she might be next in the Succession of Witches got to me, but I can't remember if I cried in that scene or not ^^;;
Jen recently beat FFX with me by her side, so I know there are scenes there that got to me:
Tidus holding Jecht's dying body, and saying 'I hate you', followed by his flow of tears and 'I am finally proud to have you as my father'. Wow. The tears began here.
Auron's soul starts to leave his body, but he comforts everyone, saying "Don't worry, it's my time to go," and then, as he's almost completely sent, "This is YOUR story now." God, that scene - coupled with the music - really tore at my heartstrings.
Of course, the last scene was perhaps the saddest of all; Tidus' body starts dematerializing, and Yuna, realizing what's going to happen, shakes her head in disbelief and sorrow. As he prepares to jump off the airship, she calls out, "I love you". Tidus hugs her one last time....I can't finish, I'm starting to tear up re-reading this.
