Mario Kart: Double Dash

Has anyone played the new Mario Kart yet? It's extremely addicting. So far I have managed to get six carts and the special cup.

Great music, horrible track design.

Sadly, I didnt get that far yet. I only got all 3 cups using 50CC carts, and the Mushroom Cup with 100CC. How do you get Rainbow Road?

Special cup is unlocked by beating Star Cup 100cc

I had a feeling something was missing when I first saw there were only 3 cups present instead of the 4 that were there in Mario Kart 64. Thanks! :D

Got everything in five days. But it was a lot of hard work, especially All Cup Mode in Mirror @_@

I went to buy this game today, but everyone is sold out of it. I'll have to wait two weeks (which is when I get my next paycheck) to buy this game. I can't wait!!

I don't have the game yet, but I'm curious if anyone's played over LAN yet and see how well that works. Also, more importantly, has anyone used WarpPipe ( http://www.warppipe.com/ ) to play people online, and how well does that work if you have?

I got the game a couple weeks ago, and been playing on and off to finally have a good opinion of the game.

I love the dual driver feature as well as choosing the karts to drive, adds a lot of depth, not to mention being able to hold two items is awesome. They made some great courses too, and I like how you get a prize for every gold you get, nice little addition from previous games where the only unlockable was the special cups. I played one circuit co-op and I must say I love it, very well done. I haven't had a chance to play LAN yet since I'm the only one in the house with the game and a BB adapter, but I do have everything ready to go on Warp Pipe when I feel like going online with the game.

My only complaint is the battle mode maps. I love how they added new battle types, but these battle courses are simply the worst ever (though I can't speak for the GBA one). I seriously almost pulled out MK64 to play good battles again, even the original one was so much better with the battle maps.

Overall, this is possibly the best MK game yet, but the really bad battle courses take a lot away from this game.

I just got Double Dash along with GameCube today in the mail, and I'm loving it. I unlocked plenty of carts but it wasn't saved. I forgot to buy a mem card beforehand (silly me!) and didn't feel like doing it today.

I'm glad that the different cups against the CPU are more difficult than Mario Kart 64's. Or maybe I just haven't totally adjusted to the game. Either way, I like the challenge.

My only complaint about the game so far is the music. I really hate most of the tracks.

I have it, but I never really got into it. Mainly because how lazy Nintendo is in coding the computer drivers. Mostly, the stupid way it handicaps them (and you).

I haven't played this yet. I don't know why, because I'm a huge fan of the Mario Kart series. Maybe I'll buy it! Yay! ^_^

I got this for Christmas, and finally tried it out a couple of days ago. It's pretty fun so far. I only tried the 50cc Mushroom Cup, and won it.

My all-time favourite is Super Mario Kart for the SNES (I think I've raced Ghost Valley 1 several hundred times by now, including about 80x in one night).

I'm beginning to think the CPU "cheats" too much in this game. Many times on the final lap the CPU controlled racers just happen get lots of items that mess me up. Probably my bad luck. I haven't gotten Gold in the 100 and 150 special cups nor the rest of 150 yet. Save Mushroom cup. Only a bunch of silvers and bronzes. >_<

Until you get
King boo and Petey Piranha
I advise using light karts- My favorite pair of light racers only is- Paratroopa and Diddy Kong.

Oh I've been using medium carts mostly... Usually Yoshi or Peach with Paratroopa. I'll try using light carts more

Edit: Wow using a light cart IS helpful! I unlocked two more characters. I just need the gold in the Flower and Star 150 cc now and then I'm at least done unlcoking everything so far (not everything overall. I know there's still more after that) I tried to get them tonight and lost by one point on each of them, plaed second! Anyway it was an improvement. Thanks!
