I think SNK Playmore should re-release the older King of Fighters games prior to '99 on the PlayStation 2 on one CD. They're better than the newer games in the series, IMHO, and I'd like to play them legitamately on my PS2.
I'd also like to see the Ganbare Goemon series, especially the two N64 games, remade with better graphics.

I've got a lot, and all with explanations, so bear with me.
-both the original Zelda and Zelda II are in desperate need of being rereleased with better graphics. I could also be listing some other NES games, but I'm listing these two specifically because Zelda is one of, if not the, most popular of Nintendo's series.
-Bubble Bobble. This was a very fun NES game. I think for once, Bub and Bob should be tooken out of their Bust-a-Move series and tooken back to their roots.
-any of the Kirby's Dreamland series. I personally feel that too much emphasis has been put on Kirby's Adventure series while the Dreamland series is being forgotten. Perhaps if a new game in the series was released, or at least one of the old games is re-released, this series might have a little more attention paid to it. I really liked KDL better than KA because it was really fun combining powers with animal friends. Plus, Dark Matter was pretty damn hard and worth a challenge. I can easily say that the nightmare at the end of KA is nothing compared to Dark Matter.
-Mother 1+2 (both the Earthbound games on GBA) has been out in Japan for a while. It better come over here sooner or later.
-Final Fantasy III. They've rereleased every other Final Fantasy to be playable on Sony's systems except this one (and the new ones for GC and GBA, but I won't count those), plus it's the only game that doesn't see any hope of seeing American shores at the moment.
-Bahamut Lagoon is, in some ways, also a Final Fantasy game (kind of a spin-off like Chocobo's Dungeon), and like FF3, it's one of the only ones that's not playable on the Playstation line. BL wasn't released in America either.
-Now that Nintendo and Square are finally speaking to eachother again, I say Super Mario RPG on Game Cube. I've heard a ton of people bitch about Nintendo having too many exact re-ports, so I say why not remake it for Game Cube? Aside from that reason, it also makes a lot of sense because on the SNES, it tries its best to look 3D despite the system's limitations, so if this game gets re-released, it should have the 3D graphics it's always meant to have.
-as soon as Square-Enix is no longer making profits off of Sword of Mana, I think a Seiken Densetsu collection should be released for the PS2. On one disc, there will be Seiken Densetsu (Final Fantasy Adventure) with the re-touched GBA graphics (Sword of Mana), Seiken Densetsu 2 (Secret of Mana), and Seiken Densetsu 3 (not released in the US). Again, it's all on one disc unlike the multi-discs for the FF collections. Since PS2 uses DVDs, multiple discs would really really look like more of a waste than it already is.
I guess that's all I can think of. Also, in reply to people wanting a re-re-release of Final Fantasy 4-6 and Chrono Trigger: while I do enjoy the PS versions of FF 4-6 plus CT, I think they could've done better. Considering how good anything from Square sells, a bit more effort could've been put in them. Check for glitches, put in a bit more FMVs than just the beginning and ending (Chrono Trigger's the only one to have more, but even then, some of the FMVs are pretty pathetic. I'd rather have an FMV of Magus turning Glenn into a frog or Lavos's defeat than just watching something as plain as Chrono and Ayla hopping on top of pteradactyls and taking off).
Lastly, for the English version, I really think they should've had a better script. Since FF5 and FF4 hard-type were never before released in America, they had the chance for better scripting, but they just re-used FF6 and CT's script from the SNES version, which is just loaded with Nintendo's dreaded censorship of the early 90's (if anyone can't see through a guy getting a 'sugar rush' from drinking 'soda' in a bar, I pity you).

Wasn't there a remake of the original Legend of Zelda for the Super Famicom in Japan a few years back? It was something you could pick up with satellite tv or something. I can't remember the details, but I can clearly remember reading about it in Nintendo Power. I'll have to go through all my old magazines to find where they mentioned it (somewhere in the Epic Center before they got rid of it that one time).Slrjoecool wrote:I'd like to see a remake of the original Zelda. I would like to see a remake of the original Zelda as well, but the only thing I would want to be changed is the graphics. It would feel ackward to play it on the Gamecube though, so perhaps the GBA? I think Nintendo should re-release Super Mario RPG on the GBA too, completely untouched because Super Mario RPG is my all-time favorite video game.

Instead of porting Resident Evil 2, 3, and Code Veronica, I think they should remake it, like the original Resident Evil and Resident Evil 0. I'm sure that if they looked as perfect as their predecessors, they would have TONS of more sales.

There was a remake on the Super Famicom (Japanese SNES), and yes, it did cost money to play. It was part of the Bandai Satelliteview thing eight or years back, where Nintendo redid some older Nintendo games (F-ZERO, Super Mario Bros. 2, Super Mario Bros. 3) with new features. Unfortunately, it never came to America. We can hope that Nintendo will one day release the upgraded Legend of Zelda from the Bandai Satelliteview on GBA one day, but odds are they won't.Cardcaptor Takato wrote:Wasn't there a remake of the original Legend of Zelda for the Super Famicom in Japan a few years back?
