Anyone buy Final Fantasy X-2?

Anyone buy this yet? I did, and it is great ^_^ I love having the 3 girls as a team. I get stuck easily though -__- Stupid monster can hit you and make you lose ove 100 LP or whatever they are called! Tough stuff. Rikku is my favorite character. I want to be her T__T The opening video is by far my favorite of the FF games. The graphics get better and better. Even in the gameplay mode, the graphics are still really good. Compare them to the FF8 graphics from PS1 and learn to appreciate technology ^_^

EDIT: OK OK! Don't shoot! I saw a Final Fantasy topic, but that is based on your favorite, and the convo in there is based towards like 5-7. Please, I wanted this to specifically talk about 12 and how you thought of it. If it is locked, then I am sorry for being stupid v_v

This thread is ok, for excatly the reasons you said. And seriously, all these comments of people being worried if posting a certain topic is getting out of hand. Use your best judgement to see if you think you're treading on another thread with your new one, and if you're unsure, either don't post a new one or PM one of the forum staff (link to a list of those people are on top of every page here) asking if you're that worried. I don't know why people are feeling the need to make these comments, and it stops now. I don't want to hear apologies or any other bs, I just want everyone to stop it, thank you. If anyone feels the need to comment on this, please go to this thread and join in the discussion there.

Also to nitpick, it's not Final Fantasy 12, it's Final Fantasy X-2 (10-2). FFXII will be a new game on its own now related to X or any of the other FFs.

One of my housemates bought this, and from the little that I've seen, I think I'll like it. I don't want to play much into it just yet with only a couple weeks left in the semester. I'll have plenty of time when the semester ends to try it out between Kere having it here and my brother getting it for Christmas. I am rather excited about this game though, wasn't sure when it was first announced but it looks to be a good addition to the series.

Oh, it's awesome. Derek and I got it for his birthday, and...*_* I love the garment grids, I love Yuna's guns....the only beef I have is the fact that there's no japanese track. I just don't understand that. They put one on The Bouncer, but yet, none of the FF games have it, nor did Kingdom Hearts. Some of the voices and dialog just make me cringe (For example: when Rikku uses her black mage outfit, she goes "Fire Burn and Cauldron Bubble!! *GIGGLE*" -_-;;;), but the game itself so far is pretty damn cool.
I recommend it ^^

Aww, I was wondering about that. I just thought you have X meaning 10 and then the 2, and put them together, and get 12. Saying X-2 sounds cooler too

I was angry with the no Japanese soundtrack. I still like the english VAs though. Rikku sounds so cute. I like Paines voice too, fits her well ^^ People were saying her voice would be good for a Sailor Uranus dub, which to me, seems suitable.

I have 2 problems with the game, the first, which will make no sense probably, is if you are walking as Yuna, and lets say you are going "Up", and you go to a direction where the screen goes black and you are in a new place, with new map directions, if you keep holding "Up" like I do, you don't go in the correct direction. You need to let go, then redo it. Sorry if it made your mind boggle, it was what threw me off.

My other problem is the fact that you get attacked by monsters you are no ready for. You go from monsters that are easy to defeat, to one GIGANTIC one that can kill you in 2 seconds -__- I have died too easily. I am about 10% done with chapter 1 and I can't get the "Magnificent" video Sphere. It is a frustrating place.

Just wondering, what do you dress your characters as? If I have touch opponents, I change them all to Warrior, but at times, I go with their naturals: Yuna as a Gunner, Paine as a Swordsman, and Rikku as a Theif.

I want this game so bad! However, there is a certain part that I'm gonna mute. The song. I've heard it in Japanese, and it is really cool! But the English version..... bleh. I did not like it at all. So, that's the only major problem between me and this game.

I actually like the English 'Real Emotions' better, the Japanese version does little to nothing for me, which I feel totally wrong for thinking ::shrug::

EDIT* I was thinking about Koda Kumi's english version I tihnk, b/c I just downloaded the other english one, and it sounds so incredible blah...

I also think the English '1000 words' is better than the original. I dunno, I just really like Jade's voice over the original singers.

Anyways, I went to BlockBuster yesterday and saw this game, so I rented it. AND I LOVE IT!!!! OMG!!!! This game kicks so much ass! I love everything about it, especially the Garment Grid. I keep changing clothes, and kicking everything's ass! "Excuse me? Oh hell no! Yuna, change to Songstress. Hahaha! Darkness Dance! Now you can't hit me bitch! Rikku, Black Mage! HAHAHA! FIRA!!!! Paine, just kick ass as you are!!" However, my favorite part of this game is the characterization. I love how Wakka's gotten more mature, and Lulu isn't as hard on everyone as she used to be. She's mellowed out, and become more vulnerable. So, yeah, I love this game, and can't wait to actually buy it!

But I did see it last night. The commercial was bad, but I liked the song and the movie in the game itself.

That's the same face my brother gives. I'm constantly yelling things like that at the screen. It's really bad when my mom walks in, and I'm screaming at the TV. Cause she always thinks I'm mad at it, and she starts "The game doesn't cheat. Don't get mad at it." and I have to respond with "Who's mad? I'm happy! Oh yes! Die, bitch!" and then having to explain that to my mother. Makes for fun dinner conversation, too! ^^

MDL: I wasn't assuming you have cable, I was simply stating the only place I've ever seen the commercial as a suggestion. I didn't know if you had cable or not. But that's the only answer I could give, so that's what I did.
