E3 2008

Post by Alexclow345 » Tue Jul 15, 2008 10:46 am

I missed the Microsoft Press Conference, so the only things I know are Banjo is coming to XBLA and Fable 2. And Gears 2.

Sony and Nintendo are in 15 minutes as of now. I'll post my thoughts later when I see them.

EDIT: That has to be the lamest conference I've seen so far. AC Wii, Wii Music, MotionPlus and Voice chat are the only good things IMO. The rest was just...meh.

Sony BETTER deliver.

Sony is basically dead now.

Microsoft announced that Final Fantasy XIII will be coming out on the Xbox 360. Sony has lost one of their primer money-makers. And, there are rumors of Kingdom Hearts 3 coming out on the Wii. So... yeah. If that happens, the PS3 is gone.

..I thought like...E3 was over or something? I could swear I read somewhere that it had ended.

Maybe I imagined it or something.

Joey: The question is, Rachel, does he like you? ''Cuz if he doesn''t, then it''s all just a moo point.
Rachel: Huh...a...moo point?
Joey: Yeah. It''''s like a cow''s opinion. It doesn''t matter....It''s moo.

Do you mean E3 2008 or E3 in general.

If the former, no, it's still going.

If the latter, I "think"(don't quote me on that) that they changed it drastically so instead of gamers trying out demos and stuff, they do these press conferences where they describe what they're going to do with their games and hardware.

Hope that helps!

E3 use to be open to the public, but change it last year because the crowds were getting out of control.

E3 was highly uneventful. No price cuts. Some game announcements. Wii remains vulnerable in the 3rd Party Dev dept. but Nintendo rolls out even more gimmic- er, add-ons for the Wii. But that's about it.

Not exactly true.

Prior to '07, E3 was open to journalists, the media, exhibitors, but it was fairly easy to get tickets to get inside.

In '07, it became invite-only.

Furthermore, companies like Activision (which includes Blizzard now), Lucasarts, Foundation 9, Atlus, and NCsoft has decided to cease making appearances at E3.
