So the next installment of this franchise will be available in a few hours on this side of the ocean. If you shared your Wii console friend code in that thread and actually registered me as a friend (re: we can send shit back and forth), you'll likely notice I've set invites to be on my MKW friend list. I'm an asshole like that. =P But it's a cool feature and Nintendo is finally taking baby steps in the right direction in regards to online. They have a long way to go to reach at least Xbox Live v1.0 in quality terms (yes, I mean the first version of Live for the original Xbox), but maybe they'll get it.
I'm enjoying this game thus far, though it would take work for me to not enjoy a Mario Kart. The new courses are imaginative and fun for the most part. I haven't played as much as I thought I would by now, but I've finished both Wii and Retro cups in 50cc. Unlocking is a tad more involved, as you have to play some time trails in addition to the GPs. Playing with friends is as fun as ever and I don't think could ever be fucked up. The only mode I haven't played yet is battle. I haven't enjoyed battle mode since 64 as the maps have pretty much sucked with all the games except SNES and 64. So I'm hoping the maps are better, we'll see soon.
Driving with the wheel really isn't that bad. I didn't get a chance to play with it while playing with my friends, but when I played here I was able to adjust fairly well, including getting my drifts and boosts. I still prefer the GC controller, but if need be, I'm confident in the wheel to show off. XD

Hey I just bought the Wii last week, along with Smash Brothers and Mario Kart. I like it but I havent been playin it as much as I thought I would. This Mario Kart is very similar to the one on Gamecube. I even play it with the gamecube controller because while the wheel is fun to drive, it's pretty hard to get used to.
