So my sweetheart bought me Odin Sphere for my PS2 as a late birthday gift when he was visiting me a couple months ago, and I have to say I'm happily addicted! I absolutely love this game! I like the loose Norse mythology basis, the gorgeous 2D artwork...everything about it is great!

Well, except for the random slowdowns that occur when you have either too many enemies on the screen at once or one graphics-hungry boss enemy. Still, just a minor quibble.

It's kind of an action/RPG style game. You can level up your health and magical (Psypher) abilities, but otherwise go through stages destroying enemies.
