I know it's not new but I got this game as a B-day present and so far its great.

The Ing scare me and the game is hard as #$%^ but I'm liking it so far

The game's good. Not as good as Metroid Prime (1) in my opinion, but is great in its own right. If you've beaten MP, the difficulty won't be that much harder here. Otherwise, prepare yourself.

The Ing are a bit scary, since they just won't stop turning into mist, appearing randomly, and whatnot! Also, there's a boss battle where you're constantly losing energy... nightmare town on GameCube!

I loved that it was more difficult than MP1 and had some really nice bosses, as well as a more fleshed-out storyline. I didn't like the fact that is less centralized than the original. In MP, your ship rested on a central area which you could reach from damn near everywhere. On MP2, it's wedged on a corner, and I cannot make use of it as I'd want it to.
