I recently bought the Nightlife expansion for my Sims 2 game. I've had it for around a week, and I started having some trouble last night.
Last night, I was making my grocery stores and everything, and I noticed that some of my windows, and some of my inventory in Buy Mode wasn't showing up. The little icon said No Pic, and literally nothing would show up. Like, one of my exercise things said No Pic, and I took it out to see if it would work, and nothing showed up, but you could still see little green squares telling you where to put it.
Now today, I'm having the most trouble. I can load the game and my neighborhood just fine, but I'm having a LOT of troubles with my lots. I wanted to make a diner with the smallest lot (1 by 3), and it wouldn't work. It would say that it fully loaded, but it kept me on the loading screen. I tried on several different occassions to get it to work, and it wouldn't. So I decided to leave it, and go clean up the kitchen. That took me around 30 minutes. I come back, and it's STILL on the loading screen. No joke.
So what's my problem? This is extremely frsutrating, as I see no way to uninstall the stupid thing (I looked under Add & Remove programs, and Nightlife isn't on the list). Could this be because my original Sims 2 game, and University expansion are cracked versions (I didn't buy them, I had them downloaded)? Or some other mystery reason.
D: Please help a nerd out.....

I'm not a techie, so keep that in my mind, but the fact that you downloaded illegal software is a red flag to me. Have you downloaded any other Sims 2 add-ons? I never download anything from the Maxis site, except for official packages, because I had so many problems with viruses and the original Sims games.
To uninstall the game, look for "EA Games" on your Start menu. It should be in there.
