Mario Vs. Donkey Kong

Post by Skull13 » Fri Apr 06, 2007 5:16 am

I haven't done any posting on this website for some time, so I might as well start a topic.

Mario Vs. Donkey Kong
For those that don't know, here's the story. Donkey Kong is watching TV until he sees an add for Mini Mario. He goes out to buy one, but he later finds out that the store is sold out. So, he finds himself next to the Mario Toy Company and robs the place of every last Mini Mario. Fortunately, Mario was nearby and goes after DK, determined to rescue every last Mini Mario.

To me, this game is very similar to the Game Boy version of Donkey Kong. Still a fun game. It definitely feels like a revival of the old times.

Mario Vs. Donkey Kong 2: March Of The Minis
For those that don't know, here's the story. Three years later, the Mini Marios have become a smash it. So, a theme park called Super Mini Mario World has been made with three other toys: Mini Donkey Kong, Mini Toad, & Mini Peach. During the grand opening, Mario was with his V.I.P. guest, Pauline (In case you don't know, she's the damsel from the Classic Donkey Kong games.). Shortly after Donkey Kong lays eyes on her, he falls for her, kidnaps her, and locks her on the roof of the building. Once again, it's up to Mario to save her, with the help of the Mini Marios.

The story is a revival of a classic. The method of how it's done is sort of awkward, since it's really the Mini Marios doing all the work, this time. Despite that, this game should not be underestimated. It's definitely a good twist of game play, strictly using the Touch Screen of the Nintendo DS to control the Mini Marios. For a kids game, this definitely has some surprising challenges that kept me going. Also, this game has a Construction Zone that allows you to create and test your own levels and trade them with other people, even through a Wi-Fi Connection.

Overall, I really like both games. They're both challenging, they're interesting twists of the original rivalry, and they really have a great sense of humor behind them.

Why was Pauline even there? Wouldn't have mad more sense to take Peach instead of his ex? X_X And the story for March of the Mini's is that DK does fall in love with Pauline but she likes the Mario Toy instead of the DK toy and goes bananas (pun intended) and takes her. Just curious, where is Peach when all of this is happening?
Bob: People! Tiff had to put the crying Usagi banner up! Enter the contest!!! D8
Tiff: They must love making Usagi cry. ;_; poor Usagi.

Bumper Sticker: A villiage in Texas is missing its idiot. Send Bush home.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The idiot of 2010: Arnold Schwarzenegger sucks ass! He killed Tookie!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sailor V: Do not worry! We will all be good little kids and when you come back, everything will be the same. *The place burns up as soon as Tiffu leaves*
Tiff: DAMN YOU ALL.
Sailor V: I DID NOT START IT! *Hides a liter and has Dan tied up in the backroom*
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dan: Gah! Off of me and back to Bob! *replaces self with Bob and runs*
Sailor V: Wait! Come back! I cannot have you interfering with my plans to bring down the forum!

Good questions. Wish I had the answers.

I wish I knew that, myself. I also don't believe that Mario ever had an ex. I think that may have just been an assumption by a lot of people. As for Peach, I don't know why she was absent, either. Still, it's a good game.
