Apparently there were some fans who were remaking Chrono Trigger in 3D for the PS2. Unfortunantly, Square Enix shut the project down. That's the story I heard at least.
It's a shame, they did a pretty good job with it, and maybe Enix could have bought it from them?

I would love to have seen a 3d version of that game.
