Favorite rpgs
Right now since im recouping alot of the video games I lost in the seperation of my marriage ive only been able to buy a few games. Right now im playing the Baldur's Gate series again, well Shadows of Amn and Throne of Bhaal, I love those games. It combines the Rpg factor which I like, and the D & D factor specially since I used to be a regular weekend dungeon quester lol. So anyone else have favorite rpgs? Im looking to rebuild my gaming library, I sort of like combat and military games to but the last game I played like that was jagged alliance so Im really out of the loop.

Well, I actually like the Mario RPGs. Specifically, Paper Mario. The plot was good, the graphics were great and the characters were fun and wacky too. (Kolorado that seemed to lie a lot XD XD). But of course, that is my opinion.

Well, you can only do Paper Mario 1 if you have an N64. Paper Mario 2, a sequel that has none of the original characters (except Bow) is for the GCN. The new one that's coming out I think is for the DS.Senshi_of_Vision wrote:cool I'll have to check that one out sounds like fun and I like the Mario bros series

The Shadowhearts series is a pretty good one.
I also loved Skies of Arcadia (hard to get now though)

If you have a Super Nintendo (or an emulator) I would recommend "Chrono Trigger". It is made of awesomeness.
Also, for GameBoy, I would recommend Golden Sun. T'is quite teh fun.

I'm playing through the original Baldur's Gate with the EasyTutu conversion along with a few other mods.Senshi_of_Vision wrote:Right now since I'm recouping a lot of the video games I lost in the separation of my marriage I've only been able to buy a few games. You should try finding Arcanum: Of Steamworks & Magic Obscura. As the title implies, this game combines magic and technology. It's a typical fantasy world with the twist that this world is going through an industrial revolution. You should also try out the Elder Scrolls games. Morrowind is out in a Game of the Year edition with both expansion packs and then their is Oblivion which has an expansion pack on the way. I'm excited about the EP because you'll be exploring Sheogorath's realm. Deus Ex is a mix of FPS and RPG elements and comes highly recommended. You will have to buy Arcanum and Deus Ex second-hand though.
Everybody was a baby once, Arthur. Oh, sure, maybe not today, or even yesterday. But once. Babies, chum: tiny, dimpled, fleshy mirrors of our us-ness, that we parents hurl into the future, like leathery footballs of hope. And you''ve got to get a good spiral on that baby, or evil will make an interception.

Re: Favorite rpgs
I'll have to look them up they sound up my alley, Im tempted to buy tales of the sword coast for BG now because of the new mods theyve created for them, I didnt like it as much back in the day as BgII and TOB but I think with the new mods id like the first game better so I may buy a copy just so I can take a character threw from beginning to end.Kameko wrote:I'm playing through the original Baldur's Gate with the EasyTutu conversion along with a few other mods.Senshi_of_Vision wrote:Right now since I'm recouping a lot of the video games I lost in the separation of my marriage I've only been able to buy a few games. Super Mario RPG. I've played that game over and over a million times and I still love it. I still find the graphics cool and the storyline and characters interesting. Plus, I love having Peach fight in my party (equips Super Slap/Parasol/War Fan/Frying Pan/Any of Peach's other kickass cool weapons).
Final Fantasy IV for SNES. I know that when it was released in America, they screwed up the order, so it's the fourth American one. Admittedly the only FF game I've played, but I always found it challenging and fun (Rydia FTW!). Although I've only beaten it once. I keep trying to replay the game, but the cartridge keeps erasing all my files.

Peachvampiress has an account on DeviantArt. Insanity Within.
And a Myspace account for her clothing designs.

You could always buy FF4 for the Playstation... But then there's no nostalgia to it, so bleh.peachvampiress wrote:Final Fantasy IV for SNES.
