For some reason, the holes on all of my PlayStation (the first one) video game CDs are too small to fit through the needle of the console. I've already tried fitting in two of my discs (one was for Final Fantasy Tactics, the other one was for Harvest Moon: Back to Nature) and the holes were so small that I was afraid of snapping the discs if I pushed down too hard on them!
Does anyone know what can cause this? How to reverse this? I'm really worried! I don't want to have to start new files for those games on my PlayStation 2!
Strange problem with my PlayStation... can anyone help me?

You don't have too. Your Playstation memory card will work with your Playstation 2.DistantMemory wrote:I don't want to have to start new files for those games on my PlayStation 2!
Everybody was a baby once, Arthur. Oh, sure, maybe not today, or even yesterday. But once. Babies, chum: tiny, dimpled, fleshy mirrors of our us-ness, that we parents hurl into the future, like leathery footballs of hope. And you''ve got to get a good spiral on that baby, or evil will make an interception.

Im not sure I understand. Do you mean you cant put the games into the system itself? if thats so it must be a problem with the system because I have used my PSone games on several PS2s and never had that problem. I even have a copy of final fantasy tactics.DistantMemory wrote:For some reason, the holes on all of my PlayStation (the first one) video game CDs are too small to fit through the needle of the console. I think his problem deals with the regular PS, not the PS2.
Personally, i'd say just get a PS2. For reasons mentioned already, your PS memory card will work in the PS2, so you wont lose anything. Also, if you're not going to get a PS2, i'd reccomend pushing down on the CD in the MIDDLE where the hole is, not on the edges, that way there will be much less chance of the CD snapping.

Um, I'm a girl. ^^; This is the 100th time I've been mistaken for a guy. Why is that? >.>AnimeGuru0 wrote:I think his problem deals with the regular PS, not the PS2.

But I think I'll consider switching them over to the PS2 and not have to worry about starting over. Thanks!
