Tetris DS

Post by AnimeGuru0 » Sat Apr 15, 2006 11:20 pm

Who else has Tetris DS? Man, it's fun. I'm not a huge tetris fan, but this game has enough stuff to keep me busy. I've played through Standard mode and i've tried uhh....i think it's called Catch mode. Both very fun (although Catch mode is a bit harder to get the hang of, but still fun).

My friend code:

689121
260262

I'd love to play some tetris with ya'll!

This is the next in line of games I want to get. I've been really looking forward to this game, and I'll gladly come online to take you on when I get it. XD

psssst! get Mariokart DS already. You're getting every WiFi game except that it seems. >:-(

I finally got this, I've always enjoyed Tetris and this is the best one I've played in a long time. I've played a bit through standard mode since that's the mode everyone knows and lives. Played a bit of mission mode which is really neat. I watched the tutorial of catch mode, which seems interesting, but I'll have to play it before having a good opinion of it. I wish I had more time to check stuff out tonight, but I've got work earlier tomorrow and need sleep before then. Can't wait to play some multiplayer. Speaking of which, if anyone has WiFi, my friend code is 293120-409550. I'll take anyone on my break tomorrow. XD

I join the ranks of Tetris addicts as I finally got this a couple nights ago... I'm not that good at it but I've played it since ye old days of grey Game Boy and I love it =p Who thought a bunch of blocks could be so compelling. I guess that's why simple games are the best and most addicting. (DDR = 4 arrows anyone?)

Standard modes are of course > all. Mission mode is um, interesting? It's kind of hard for me so I haven't done much of it. I tried to play the Catch and stuff, but I don't get how. o_O The puzzles are okay, but kind of kiddy, though I think that's the point.

Multiplayer is really fun, my best friend and I have been having fun kicking each other's asses (mostly me beating him ^_~). I don't have the thingie to go online with my DS though and judging from the wtfexpensive price of the adapter I don't think I will be any time soon >_>

I like this a lot more than Mario Kart DS so far. I liked that at first then just got stopped playing it much and got really bored of it really fast, I dunno. It's still okay now and then but its rarely I break it out. I think..... its because I like how they do Multiplayer better in this one, it's more fun... I HATE how you couldn't do multiplayer Grand Prix. That was easily the best part of multiplayer Mario Kart, and I never really cared much for playing MK on single player.

Mine suck because I haven't played too much yet, but:

Tetris Points: 1241 (how does this work?)
Marathon: 88488
Line Clear: 27144
Mission: 54742
Tower: Lvl 1 - 4600, Lvl 2 - 5300

Unfortunately, I stopped playing Tetris. Thinking of selling it. There's just no incentive for me to keep playing =\

Anyways, here are my ranks (i've barely even tried).

Tetris Points 2171
Marathon 115318
(Max Level 13)
Line Clear 22150
Mission 89001
(Max Level 7)
Tower lv 1 - 6000
Catch - 461330
(max level 8 )
(Max detonation surface area 39)

o.O no incentive for playing Tetris? Do you need one? It's such a fun game. XD

Lemme ask derek if he wants to buy it for when we get a DS.

Joey: The question is, Rachel, does he like you? ''Cuz if he doesn''t, then it''s all just a moo point.
Rachel: Huh...a...moo point?
Joey: Yeah. It''''s like a cow''s opinion. It doesn''t matter....It''s moo.

If there were unlockables like more modes, trophies, music, etc, then i'd have an incentive to keep playing (i love unlockables) but pretty much what you get when you first start playing is the same no matter how much you play.......=\

Bob, don't sell the game you meanie! I haven't even gotten to lose to you in multiplayer yet =P

I agree with Tiff, I certainly don't need an excuse to keep playing. ;) Playing with my best friend is still fun... and we recently started doing multiplayer with Items On, haha.. wow that's crazy. Who cares if there's no unlockables? Original Tetris didn't have any unlockables...

I'm definetly not selling this game. I <3 it. I beat all the Tower mode levels the other day too =D

I know Derek and I love Tetris, and we play it simply becuase 1) it's fun and 2) you can beat your score every time. Who needs incentives to play a game like Tetris? XD

Joey: The question is, Rachel, does he like you? ''Cuz if he doesn''t, then it''s all just a moo point.
Rachel: Huh...a...moo point?
Joey: Yeah. It''''s like a cow''s opinion. It doesn''t matter....It''s moo.

i think if i had people to play with IRL it'd be more fun.

Unfortuantely the wifi is just not enough for me.....

But I'll hold onto it until ya'll can grab the game. Maybe with more people it'll be fun.

PS - I'm always down for a game, just message me and i'll throw the game into my DS (assuming my wifi is working). I just haven't been playing it 1 player at all lately.

First you need to go online Nintendo WiFi to create one. It makes the code using info from the game pak and DS and going online activates it. After you connect, in the WiFi menu, go to friend settings, and choosing confirm friend code will show your friend code on the screen to give to other people. Go into register friend code to add in your friends code to your list.

Um, calm down? I don't have wireless, either. We're considering getting a wireless modem.

I'm not mad at you, or anyone here. I'm venting because I'm pissed off at Nintendo for making me shell out either like $40 for a stupid piece of cable or probably like $50 for a wireless modem. It really makes me mad and if I knew that was what you had to do to get online I probably wouldn't have wanted to get a DS in the first place.

Yeah, it does kinda suck that you can't play online without a modem and shiat. But I gotta say, it's really cool that derek and I can play together just by being in the same area. XD

Yeah, it's nice. Paul and I would play all the time, probably more than should be considered healthy. =P

But I HATE how I can't play with anyone here online. :( Damn you Nintendo.

LOL, You don't have to worry about sudden urges to goto the bathroom, Derek can stay in living room as Tiff rushes off to bathroom, Tetris game uninterrupted!! IT'S GENIOUS I SAY!!! XD

You have no idea how many games of Advance Wars DS have traveled with me into the bathroom. XD LOVE THAT GAME.
