Worst Video Game Movies

Considering the slew of video game movies being planned to come soon, what do you think are some movies they shouldn't be like? Mine would have to Super Mario Bros. The movie wasnothing like the video games, it didn't even have the feel. It was just a horrible movie beginnig to end, video game related or not.

OMG NO. I loved that movie ;_; It WAS nothing like the games, that's why it was interesting. It was original, funny, and cheesy. =P

Yeah, I loved the Mario movie too. I enjoyed it a lot. I also liked the first Mortal Kombat movie, haven't seen the second one yet though. I can't think of any more off the top of my head, though I know that I've heard that others are pretty bad. I just read that they're making a Dead or Alive movie, how will that work out? I see that beingf really bad.

SMB had its moments. Koopa was funny, and Bob Hoskins is a good actor who can really do an accent. And MK1 was pretty good too, with lots of injokes.

DoA could be a nice jiggle-fest, and might be worth a download.

I think the worst video game-based movie was Street Fighter. Of all the people to be the protagonist, Guile?

I would say almost all of them except the first MK. (Though I haven't seen RE.)

Again, that movie really wasn't that accurate to the video game counterpart.

I would have to say the Street Fighter Movie was by far the worst Game movie ever the acting and action all sucked so much

Hmm so many bad ones. I'll go with Double Dragon. It was plan horrible. Where did they find those guys to play Billy and Jimmy?

There aren't too many video game movies I felt were even decent. It's easier to say what the best one is. lol (the first MK, or Street Fighter II if anime is included)

There have been ongoing rumors of live action movies for Tekken and Soul Calibur.. Well the Tekken anime movie is horrendous. I hope the live action is decent if they do make one. Tekken has a better story than most fighting games.

But anyway, I forgot about Final Fantasy:Spirits Within. Oh man that was horrible. The people who made the movie already had a wealth of story to use from the games but instead it was something in the future with aliens...just non-Final Fantasy stuff. Now that I've played the games that movie hurts my soul.

I didn't care for that movie either, especially the ending. x_O But I wouldn't put it in the category of worst game movies ever, since there are so many more worse ones.

Sorry, I came to this post and just had to laugh my ass off when I saw his name. He's an action movies actor (or so he thinks or pretends) specialized in "karate". Good athlete, apparently.

But he's from Belgium and is quite known in France... and... his French is hilarious. If anyone of you speaks French, go find something he has said... he usually mixes English words in whatever he says, and it doesn't have much sense anyway... a real blonde, I might say ^^;;;

Street Fighter was cheezy cool
FF:Spirits Within should have dropped the Final Fantasy and it wouldnt have been hated as much

I think one of the worst video game to movie i've ever seen is Resident Evil: Apocolypse, it just hurt to see all these characters from the game just get butchered especially poor Nemesis /sniffle

I think the worst video game to movie adaption has to be either Mortal Kombat: Annihilation and the live action Street Fighter movie. The characters in the movie didn't look a darn thing like their video game counterparts and hell, even their backstories and occupations were incorrect. Chun-Li, E-Honda and Balrog are not news reporters and Balrog's supposed to be working with Shadowlaw. Ryu and Ken were protrayed like dorks rather than two tough, strong martial artists. Those are just some of the things about the Street Fighter movie, there are a heck a load of others. Mortal Kombat: Annihilation had way...way too many characters in it. It was like: Liu Kang seeks out the help of Nightwolf, Nightwolf knocks out Liu Kang. Kang has a nightmare, wakes up and Nightwolf is gone never to be seen again for any good reason at all. There's even a continuinity problem when Sonya is seen wearing different clothing than she had at the end of the first movie and Johney Cage having his sunglasses when Goro was supposed to have smashed them up. As with Street Fighter, there are far too many flaws to point out in one post so I'll shut up now. "Quick, change the channel!" "Who the hell is Johney?" lol
