Sailor V game

Post by Anton-P » Sat Feb 18, 2006 9:12 am

There is a fan created video game "Sailor V game". It is this very game that Usagi, Minako and other girls played in Game Center Crown in anime. The game has online ranking, where all players can send their scores achieved in this game.

The game itself can be downloaded at:
http://www.sailorvgame.org/svg/svg_download.htm

Before sending scores, a player must register oneself at:
http://www.sailorvgame.org/svg/svg_registration.htm

Registration will take no more than five seconds and it is necessary for the sole purpose of preventing different players sending their scores under the same name.

I really like the way that game looks. I'm thinking of downloading it.

That game has offically amused me. 29something on my first try. XD

My only complaint is the Sailor V sprite. Instead of using screencaps to manipulate as a prite they could have at least tried to make their own sprite.

Oh well. It's still fun XD
And really, why shouldn't we be afraid? In case you haven't heard, life is terminal. Cigarettes will kill you. So will your cellphone. Your car is a deadly weapon and alcohol is a quiet killer. Don't lick the lead-based paint on the walls. Don't lick the back of a postage stamp and certainly don't lick any strangers! That will bring you down quickly indeed. Don't drink the water but don't drink less than eight glasses a day. Your enviroment is toxic, your natural resources are dwindling, your days are numbered, but what ever you do, don't panic! The stress, don't you know, will kill you.

(Me is one out of two people who created this game)
While developing it, one of my main concerns was to recreate the game as close to original as possible. That's why I used sprites of Sailor V from anime instead of drawing the ones on my own. Actually, preparing sprites for Sailor V (and several enemies) from screenshots had taken no less time than drawing sprites for other enemies (e.g., vampires) from blank sheet.

^^; I wasn't aware that you had a hand in this. You are aware of the rule against promotion of one's work?

^^; I meant no disrespect. I figured the reason screencaps were used was to recreate the likeness. It's just compared to the rest of the game that I've played so far the SailorV sprite seemed out of place.

I did not mean to break any rules and I sorry if I did.

Since you did acknowledge that you are one of the creators of the game falls under promotion of ones work. To enforce the rules I will have to lock it unless another mod feels differently.

Please know that this has nothing to do with you or your game. I personally think that it's a fun game and I like it, but I have to put my own feelings aside to do my job as a moderator. Good luck with your game, though. ^_^
