So are myself, Dan, and Neon Heart the only ones here that still play the arrow game?

...just curious. Since the summer, I've broken fully into Heavy, passed all non-10 foot songs, and gotten over 60 arcade AAs (check out my scores in my sig)

I forgot to mention... since this is apparently the thread for Karaoke Revolution as well... I had my first ever experience with that at last DDR Club session. XD

I got a Platinum on my first try. o_O;; Didn't expect that since, IMO, I suck at singing. I sang 'All You Wanted'. That used to be "our song" for my ex bf and I so I could have sang it even without the lyrics though. I also did 'One Week' and didn't do as well, but I screwed up some of the words in the middle. I even made fun of Dan during the Sailor Moon part and Paul literally doubled over he was laughing so hard.

Speaking of him (Paul), he's in choir so he's a really good singer, and naturally kicked everyone else's arses. He did 'Celebration'. Way out of his range, very funny. Good times.

Sabar did 'Complicated'. Just imagine the guy in this bottom of this picture singing Avril... and actually sounding decently =P

Dan did 'Wind Beneath My Wings' at the request of Sabar and Jon and got Platinum too. XD;;; Now THAT was something I thought I'd never see... probably have to get him drunk (or high) to get him to ever sing karaoke again ~_^

Kait not only got Platinum, she was 2% away from a perfect score. Realy fricken awesome stuff. ^_^ We really kicked ass in the game somehow, twas fun.

Also, has anyone here been keeping up on the news of DDR SuperNOVA? Holy shit, it looks awesome so far. We were checking out some videos of some of the new songs last night, and damn. I cannot wait until it's released. ^_^ Hopefully someone close to here picks it up when it comes out.

Yeah, that game kicks ass. I love it. It's sucky that I don't have anyone to play with ><

XD I remember the first time I played and I got a Platinum, and the guys there were like "O__O; you've never played this before?!" ^^; being in choir for 10 years kinda helped with that...that, and I LOVE to sing.

I love to sing too... and do it often when I'm alone, but I have a shitty voice. ^^;;; They'd probably kick me out of choir if I tried to join. =P I think the main problem with my singing is just... I CAN'T sing loud, at all, like my voice won't let me. So nobody can ever hear when I do and I sound all airy and shit. When I played KR people were like "...what? She's singing?? o.O I'm amazed the mic picked up your voice, then, becuase I know my KR headset doesn't really pick you up well unless you project. How weird.

I wasn't actually wearing the headset, I was holding the mic up close to my mouth. Dunno if that had anything to do with it.

I would love, love, love to try DDR, but circumstances prevent me. There isn't an arcade in this town (shit...), and if I tried the home version I'd end up crashing into something with as small and cluttered as this place is.

I can just imagine myself getting pissed off and hitting the arrows with my fists. ¬_¬;

Volume isn't my problem. Talent is. XD I'd probably suck at Karaoke Revolution, but it sounds like a lot of fun.

Back on the topic of the arrow game...

10s? ...are irritating me. I've gotten a B on Sakura, but most hardcore players don't consider that a real 10, with reason.
I've been playing Heavy mode for about a year now and I still can't pass MAX300.

However, I FINALLY got to the first freeze arrow yesterday. I was so proud!!!!! ^__^ If anyone's not familiar with it, that's at about the 1 minute mark, so 2/3 through the song. It's funny... it was kind of prophetic because beforehand, I was talking to this one guy at the arcade who passed 300 about how I've been trying to, and he said that "once he got to the freeze arrow it was only about a month before he passed it". Then I went after and got the freeze! =)

I'm sick of listening to elitists blab on about how "girls can't play 10s". I'm going to be another one to prove them wrong.

I got this today and played all of Story mode on Normal(me thunk it was Standard in DDr terms) It was way too easy. Someof the songs were great. The Mini'games suck. Mush Mode put a twist and raised the diffulcuty and it was fun. Free Dance Pad!!

There's already a DDR Thread, methinks this could go there.

From what I've heard about Mario Mix, the hardest it gets in terms of DDR rating is that there's the equivalent of maybe a harder 8-foot as the final boss song, and that's it. (Guess that's playing it on Hard mode.)

Definitely too easy for me to even bother with it.

DDR songs are rated by amount of feet. 1 is the easiest, and 10 is the hardest (though I'm not sure if they are gonna up that with Supernova like In The Groove has done).

Heck, I could explain a lot of stuff but you're better off just going to DDRFreak.com and reading this kind of thing.

I'm okay at DDR. I can beat some 10s and have beat every 9.

Hope this gets merged with the other DDR thread.

I still play DDR, but like... Since I never go outside anymore and never get exercise, I dropped from Heavy Mode to Light Mode.

Ouch. Even playing songs in Standard mode get me winded, easily.

But dorky me, I can play most all of the songs on the PS2 controller. xD

I cant wait until the local arcades here DDR SuperNOVA, though.
