Dance Dance/Karoake Revolution

Post by ParaKiss_Groupie » Fri Nov 07, 2003 2:32 pm

I know a lot of people here play DDR, but is anyone as excited about getting Karoake Revolution as I am? I'm gonna get it around Thanksgiving. I can't wait! It looks sooo fun! I've seen the song list, and I like most of the songs. I could do without some of them, though. So, what do you guys think?

What is it?
It sounds like it's lots of fun. Then again, I'm just going by the name
Is it anything like DDR?

Karoake Revolution is played with a headset, and you have to match the pitches of the song. Here's two links about it:

That's cool! Since I love DDR, I might get Karaoke Revolution. I just wish it came with the headset instead of buying it seperatly. Oh well, that's how they get your money :roll: . I also heard that Konami is gonna release more of these so there will be a bigger song library. I think that'll be good! Hopefully, we can sing some of the songs from DDR. BTW, do you know what the headset costs?

I'm gonna have to pass on this, as a) I suck at singing, and b) my voice sounds weird when I DO try to sing ^^;; I'll stick to regular DDR and Para Para Paraside ^^

Well, the game costs about $40, and the bundle costs $60, so I'm assuming the headset costs about $20. I'm just going to buy the bundle. Also, this game is not two-player. You have to use a regular controller in one slot, and the headset in the other. Which makes sense, cause otherwise you couldn't pick a song or mode. Just thought I'd let the people know.

I have an absolutely horrible singing voice. But I'm still buying this game. I just want to play it, even if I suck! ^^ The way I see it, the stereotypical Japanese schoolgirl sings karoake with her friends. So, in order for me and my friends to be true Japanese schoolgirls, we must sing karoake! And with no karoake bars in my town, this is the next best thing!

Let's just say it involved a Giant Robot, a fish, the city of Natick, MA, and $48 American...

I really can't say anymore...I'm still wanted in over 2 states ^^;;

BTW, I was just kidding about my last post. Sorry if that didn't come out in context ^^;;;;;[/spoiler]

Wow! Over two two states? Damn! Even I haven't hit that many!!! However, I'm not allowed in Express for Girls anymore.

And I figured it was a joke. I just wanted to keep it going!

I am so getting this... and I am so not playing it unless nobody's home. I already quit football, the last thing my dad needs to hear is me singing "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun."

I'd do the total opposite, play with lots of people, especially when everyone's drunk, that'd be so funny. ^^;;;

Same here. Only, not so much drunk as on an insane sugar/anime high.

I want this game! Wouldn't it be cool if they combined DDR and KR? They could call it Pop Star Revolution or something.

One of my roommates bought Karaoke Revolution nott oo long ago, so we were playing it one day last week. It's a lot of fun! And I'm way better at it than DDR. Ironically outside these games I'm better at dancing than singing. :P I wish KR had more songs to pick from though.
