Video games and anime sometimes tie in with each other, plus video games kick ass. =P Discuss them here.

DOOM (all versions)

Post by RoastedTwinkies » Mon Mar 28, 2005 8:07 pm

I searched this topic first to check to see if there was already an existing topic and there isn't, so I decided to start one. This is the old school games I'm talking about. I saw the pc package at the tech store at school and I had to buy it. I used to own this game for SNES, and I loved it. It's cool to see new levels on the pc version. I might wait a bit before I buy DOOM 3 for pc. What do you guys think of the game?

I enjoy this game because of the action. I enjoy the rush you get when you don't expect that monster around the corner. It's a great stress reliever for me, that I much desperately needed this week with the crapload of work we got going. Most of the work we do must be completed in class because most of us don't have the resources at home to finish projects. We get little homework, but we still get a crapload of stuff to do in class.

Anyway, is it just me, or do you guys think the graphics and sound is much crappier than the SNES version? I've been playing the game with my family all afternoon (class this afternoon got cancelled), so I got used to the crappy music, but... it just doesn't sound as good as the SNES version.

Some years back, I remember reading that there was a Sailor Moon version of DOOM. I tried downloading it, but it didn't work. I remember seeing the screencaps for it (unless they were photoshopped, I have no clue, it's been too long), so I know it exists somewhere...

If you still have the PC version of it still lying around somewhere, you may want to consider giving these a try:

ZDoom
ZDoomGL Req.s ZDoom and a 3D card.
You seem like the kind of person who'll lie.
However... this sword doesn't lie.
