Nooo! Dammit, I hate the Xbox, but I love the FF Games/Hironobu Sakaguchi. The FF Games are the only reason I ever even buy a console.

I'm wondering if this is Square-Enix's first game for the XBox, or is it done independent of S-E, and distributed by Microsoft.
I haven't heard any news about Hironobu, but is he still working at S-E?

He won't be releasing any Final Fantasy games on X-box (or new ones, anyway), because Nintendo and Square Enix have signed a deal. FFXII is the last Final Fantasy game to be launched on a non-Nintendo platform.
