He.... I'm happy. I made a big purchase today. I bought the Halo Special Edition X-box (it comes with Halo), Ninja Gaiden, Soul Caliber II (for the X-box), DOA 3, and an extra controller. Oh, and I bought Zelda: Four Swords for the Game Cube. (I spent $350. I've never been so happy to be broke.) I'm floating in a sea of orgasmic giddiness.
There is one problem, though: I don't know which one to play first.

Why not do them all at once? You just need four more X-boxes and three more controllers and five more TVs. Then you'll have six games, and four limbs. . . and a mouth. . . and you are a guy.ParaKiss_Groupie wrote:There is one problem, though: I don't know which one to play first.
I usually don't buy games new, because 1: I want the price to go down, B: even after it does I can find it used for still less money, and III: it gives time for smart people to write FAQs and find the secrets for me. The last game I did buy was All Star Baseball 2004 for GameCube. It's a good time-killer; I really can't think of any games I can devote time and energy to caring about. Maybe when the next-generation systems come out I will. But ASB is pretty cool. I'm 39-0 with roughly a .450 batting average. I don't like hard games.

The Croonerism Spate (explanations upon request)
Be careful with this one, there is a bit of a pun involved. Dr. Spooner described his visit to a castle: "In the center of the fortress was the Palace Court. The gated entrance to this area was the court palace."

I dunno. I was just looking at it and I suddenly got this urge to get inside. No, not just an urge - more than that. It was my destiny to be here; in the box. And then when I put it on, I suddenly got this feeling of inner peace. I can´t put it into words. I feel... safe. Like this is where I was meant to be. Like I´d found the key to true happiness.

Bad luck! I´m are suffering from Rivalee´s Syndrome.
Cause: thinking too hard
Symptoms: aphasia, vague gills, mildly squeaky voice, eyelid swelling
Cure: cryogenic freezing until science catches up

My newest purchase is Star Ocean 3. I bought it back in September, and I'm still playing because of all the extras.
And I received Dark Cloud 2 for Christmas but I don't like it. I'm trading it in. I had askedfor it as a last resort after going through a list of 4 other games to consider that were unavailable. I thought DC2 would interest me.
today I placed an order for that Best Buy Gamecube special so I'll be receiving it with Mario Kart Double Dash soon. And I'm getting Smash Bros Melee later this week. I don't own them yet, but I will within a few days.

I've talked about my purchases the past few months in other threads, but I've got some nice additions from Christmas. ^_^
* Nintendo DS
* Super Mario 64 DS
* Mario vs. Donkey Kong
* F-Zero GP Legend
The DS is very nice, I just wish I knew more people with one, maybe someday in the mall I'll pick up random people playing with the wireless transmitter. Super Mario 64 DS is better than I initially expected, granted I knew about being able to play as 4 characters and adding in 30 stars and a little bit about the mini-games, but starting off as Yoshi was an interesting twist and the small changes I've seen are pretty cool. I'm still getting used to playing the game without an analog stick, control pad can sometimes be awkward and though the thumb thingy to use with the touch screen is a nice touch, it makes the DS a bit weird to hold after a while. It's still great though, and as much as I hate that Nintendo is leeching the shit out of their older games to help build up their newer systems, I have to admit that they did a good job of bringing SM64 to the DS and making some changes to make it worth buying and going through again.
As for the GBA games, I need to play F-Zero GP Legend a bit more to have a good opinion on it. I can say that Mario vs. Donkey Kong is great. It came out by suprise to me over the summer and looked very similar to Donkey Kong 94 for the original Game Boy (also the first Super Game Boy programmed game) whieh I LOVED. So I had high hopes for this game and it hasn't disappointed. Good puzzles, variety of moves, I love it. I'd recommend this game to anyone, especially if anyone liked DK94, which I might go back through after this game since I miss it so much now.
Also, not really a game, but I just got a bonus disc today. Like when Nintendo last year had the Zelda promo disc for registering stuff online, when I registered my DS and new games on Christmas night, I learned that there was an offer for a Metroid Prime 2: Echoes bonus disc if you registered a GameCube and at least five games. The disc has a demo for the game (I guess the promo started in August) and other nifty bonus stuff. I haven't gone through it, but it's a nice little addition, though I really wish it had a case of some sort. It's only in a small plastic sleeve that covers the disc fully and that's it. I'm not asking for a full sized case for a small disc content-wise (unlike the Zelda disc last year, which they rightfully gave a full case for), but at least something to protect it more and be able to place it somewhere, though if there's an extra disc slot in the actual game's case itself, I'll take all that back. I'm definetly liking Nintendo's online registration thing, gotta love getting free stuff. ^_^

My most recent gaming purchase was Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines.
I'm sooooo hooked on it, too. I keep restarting under a different character, just to see if it would be any different.
It's such an awesome game.

About a month ago I got World of Warcraft, and have so far been able to not let it take over my life. Just last weekend I bought WarioWare Touched for the DS, which is pretty good, I just kinda wish there was some sort of multiplayer with it though. And I also got Donkey Konga, which is fun as hell.
