Mario Kart DS (thanx Kait ^_^) - great addition to the Mario Kart series, probably the best one to date. WiFi adds a lot to this as well though I need to get an adapter at some point.

DDR Ultramix 3 (thanx giftcard from Kait's dad and stepmom ^_^) - Haven't been able to play much of this sadly. When I do, I'll add in comments to the DDR thread, I'll just say right now the theme of bubbles is fairly annoying, but I've liked everything else thus far, especially the look of the interface for Xbox Live I hope to make use of besides just downloading (which also looks and works a lot better).

Original SNES version > all k thx

Ultramix 3 is very, very disappointing so far. Especially since the second one was probably my favorite USA console version of all.

You're both wrong. N64 version >>> SNES = DS > GCN >> GBA =P

Anyhow, I've recently acquired (over the last two weeks) Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow, Mario Kart DS (313595-102283; add me now =P) and Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time. All great games, all highly recommended if you like Action/Adventure RPGs and racing games.

Dan, Sylph, and RT: post your codes so I can add you once I get my DSL wireless router back online :/

Games i picked up over the holidays

:Splinter Cell Chaos Theory limited edition:

Bought it used from the crazy EB people. It was only $17 so how could i not pass it up. Even though they put the Xbox version in by mistake and i had to go back.
The game play is a lot of fun, even though I'm stuck on the bank stage. Still up in the air about the co op, and i dont have an adapter for online play so im kind of stuck there. Fun game in all i really an enjoying it

:NHRA Dragracing:

Being a car and NHRA fan i thought this one wouldn't be to bad... Man was i wrong, the controls are really terrible. Sometimes the game dosn't even recognize what bottons i am pushing, and it is such a pain to try and stay in the grove of the track. even if your a racing junkie stay away from this one.

:Burnout 3 Takedown:

I was really impressed with this one. It's so much fun to just cause chaos. i really like the Road Rage in this game, and think the game is worth it for that alone. Crash mode is fun aswell. the only thing that i didnt not like about this game is it didn't use real cars, but that is an easy over look. Still one of my top favs
My brother picked up Burnout Revenge. he said he dosn't have the single event modes like 3. but i haven't played it yett so can't say

:We love Katamari:
How can you not love rolling over and picking up everything in sight? The gameplay feels like it has improved from before. My only complaint is that the story dosn't feel as well developed as the first. Maybe i missed somthing.

Can definetely agree with the fact that the GBA version sucks more than a baby on his thumb. I never owned an N64 though so I didn't get to know that one really well, and from what I played I still prefered the original.

I don't have the thingie to go online with the DS, but I think Dan might.

I have the Wi-Fi USB adaptor! But I can't get my DS to connect to the internet with it, so I can't even get my code set up. I should get around to calling Nintendo about it. ><;

I just bought Star Ocean Till the End of Time. I couldn't find Magna Carta the normal version! Oh well. Star Ocean looks easier as I can still not beat Final Fantasy X. I hope this is not harder.

By the way, some games I noticed the last time, several months ago I went there when they were $40, they're now $20. Very surprising. I never knew I had been absent from the store for that long. And whenever I go there with a specific item in mind, I can never find it, Katamari Damacy. Again oh well.

 Seriously, this is the wrong time for video games. Who else is having senioritis?

Dragonquest 8 - I hate dragonquest. HATE HATE HATE. I remember buying 7 because i thought to myself, "How could millions of japanese people be wrong?" Well, they were wrong. That game effing sucked. I bought DQ8 for the FFXII demo.

Well, I hated the demo. I'm contemplating not even getting FFXII, but i LOVED Dragonquest 8! LOVE LOVE LOVE! I just thought it was so charming and endearing, and I LOVE the art style. Kept me interested nearly the entire time. LOVE!

Castlevania 2 in 1 GBA Pack - Right now I'm playing Harmony of Dissonance. This game pisses me off. Basically I just wander around for hours not knowing what to do next. They REALLY could have used a better map system. Oh well. Hopefully Aria of Sorrow will be better.

I want a DS. However, I'm holding off on getting one because I don't want to buy one with the impending release of the DS lite. I hear it's rumoured to be coming out in May. Just........need to........hold out. So many cool games I want for it. Metroid Prime: Hunters, anyone? Advance Wars? GOSH SO MANY GOOD GAMES.

TBA

DS: I ordered a copy of Daigasso! Band Brothers. I love, love, love this game. It's kind of like DDR for your thumbs. You have to pick a song, then pick and instrument and then you can jam with the band. It works kind of the same way as DDR.

I want to order the Daigasso! Request Selection- it comes as a GBA cart which adds additional songs to the game. I would also like Electroplankton.. it's tempting to just buy the North American release, but surprisingly, it's more expensive than the Japanese version and it doesn't come with free headphones and a nice presentation box like the Japanese version does.

GBA: Mother 3. I love the first two, and I'm excited for the third one to come out. Needless to say, it's a preorder.

The Wi-Fi feature on my DS is dead. It won't work with my USB connector and it won't work at hotspots. I've tried all of the solutions that Nintendo gave me, with no success. So, I've given up and I plan on getting a DS Lite when it comes out. This time, I'm going to make sure that the Wi-Fi feature actually works while it's still under warrenty -_-

The game I recently got was Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. That game totally rocks, even if it's a bit hard

I dunno. I was just looking at it and I suddenly got this urge to get inside. No, not just an urge - more than that. It was my destiny to be here; in the box. And then when I put it on, I suddenly got this feeling of inner peace. I can´t put it into words. I feel... safe. Like this is where I was meant to be. Like I´d found the key to true happiness.
