I got Star Wars: Battlefront for PC today... haven't played it yet because I've been doing an RP thing, and have downloaded a FE4 ROM, and put the English patch on it.

LOL! Boyfriend just bought that yesterday, even though I told him it might not be a good thing. At first I thought it was a new thing... and then... then! I saw the first Sonic game pop on the screen and was like "WTFFFFFFFF THIS IS THE FIRST GAME I PLAAAAAAAAAAYED ON MY MEGADRIVE" XD . Dad is going to be SO jealous :D (even if we still have the Megadrive, aha).

Then Boyfriend started playing and barely got to the Green Hill 3 level (XD ) and you should see him playing, making gestures as if it's going to help XD ... then when he loses his three lifes, I say for once that I want to play too, and I get to the level after Marble Zone just fine, and he's staring at me like I'm "Teh Gameeeeer" XD . And making the worried noises for me, when I'm all calm and almost stoic XD (aka, not moving, if I misused a word again).

XD XD XD .

I'm going to have so much fun with this o.o

X-Men Legends 2, got it last night. It's fuuuuuuuun :D

I love the multiplayer-ness. Playing with my housemate is a blast. He likes to be up front and melee and I always love being support characters so it works out well... I am currently abusing Scarlet Witch and Jean Grey. ^^;

How is F.E.A.R.? My brother downloaded the demo and it kicked ass but a good demo isn't a guarentee of a good game. And what does the director's edition have?
Everybody was a baby once, Arthur. Oh, sure, maybe not today, or even yesterday. But once. Babies, chum: tiny, dimpled, fleshy mirrors of our us-ness, that we parents hurl into the future, like leathery footballs of hope. And you''ve got to get a good spiral on that baby, or evil will make an interception.

Gunstar Super Heroes.
(Japanese ver. of course, for the Game Boy Advance)

I got this one about two weeks ago, and was playing it constantly for the week following. It's a remake of the old Genesis classic "Gunstar Heroes", with a graphical upgrade and a few other random Sega-game homages thrown in. I will not spoil the plot (not that I can understand most of it from the Japanese text) except by saying it seems to be roughly the same as the original.

I have no major problems with the game, but there are a couple of things I noticed anyway. The Sega-game homages are fun in their own way (I like the "After Burner in reverse-perspective" one especially), but a couple take away from the basic spirit. And they're required to beat the game; the Thunder Blade-inspired one in particular is damned near impossible on the higher difficulty levels, which required me to play Level Two twenty-five times in succession. Either kill me straight away, let me shoot after I've been hit, or let up on the shots every couple of seconds...

Also, the save function, while necessary nowadays for a multi-level action game that takes thirty-something minutes to beat, makes the game seem more like a series of five-minute clips rather than one complete game. Though it does allow you to skip straight to the bosses, which I like; I spend most of my time nowadays fighting the still freaking-difficult-yet-fun Seven Force (Now with crossbow! ^_^).

The levels play out more or less like they did before, except they put in an extra level at the beginning and took out part of the last one (and I so loved fighting the Core Defense System... ;_; ) Two-player co-op mode and the mix-and-match weapon system have also been removed (much to our collective dismay), but what are you going to do?

I've already beaten it of course, through and through. (I'm just that obsessive.) Took me four or five days, Level Two attempts included.

I'd recommend it highly to any fan of the old Gunstar Heroes, but they'd probably get it anyway; people who like side-scrolling shooters and anyone who wants to try to learn would also have a good time with it. Easy mode is quite easy by shooter-game standards, which for the uninitiated should make it just difficult enough to be interesting, yet not easy enough so as to be boring. I have no idea when it comes out anywhere that's not Japan (could already be out, maybe?), but it should be soon. Check it out!
Three quotes I like:

"Smart. Beautiful. Mercurius Twin."
- The "Sloganize" website

"Stop that, you! You're an accessory."
-Tsukino Usagi (to Luna, ep. 6)

"Stop the clapping! YOU'LL KILL US ALL!!"
- Professor Frink

I got Jump Superstars today, for those who don't know, it's a fighting game much like Super Smash Bro's but it has Shonen Jump character's instead. You have things called "Koma" which are like a manga panel to unlcok characters and to summon characters from the Shonen Jump universe.

Definitely.

As for what the DE has, I'm presuming everything that's in the bonus content section: "the making of F.E.A.R.", "director's commentary", "F.E.A.R. prequel" (live action, very weird), and "F.E.A.R. machinima" ('red vs. blue'-like).

Bought the new Soul Calibur III today. Looks like they didn't tweak the engine too much.
Things I think Are Funny Early in the Morning: If Batman were a Smurf: "Quick, Robin! We must smurf down to the Batcave and smurf the Batplane! Then we must smurf the batsmurf so we can smurf where the Joker is smurfing!"

The Croonerism Spate (explanations upon request)
Be careful with this one, there is a bit of a pun involved. Dr. Spooner described his visit to a castle: "In the center of the fortress was the Palace Court. The gated entrance to this area was the court palace."

Unfortunately, the AI is insanely proficient at blocking. So, unlocking many characters though battle is proving to be very difficult.

Newest edition: Fate/hollow ataraxia. :) I wish I could read Japanese. :(

The last game I bought was X-men: Legends 2.

I haven't had the money to buy a new game since. Though, I've been playing Gunbound a lot lately (free online game).

I too just got Soul Calibur 3 recently. Great game for the most part, except for what you're talking about there. Battles can get downright frustrating due to AI being too good at blocking/dodging. Luckilly, you can unlock characters through other methods than by defeating them in battle (they're unlocked automatically upon fighting a certain number of battles (win or lose)).
