Video games and anime sometimes tie in with each other, plus video games kick ass. =P Discuss them here.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic

Yes, I know KotOR II: The Sith Lords is out pretty soon but this is about the first game. Any fans of it here? I just picked it up yesterday since the PC version finally went down to $20 and am rarely stopping. :D I just got the Ebon Hawk so I'm not too terribly far yet.

For those who have played, tell us about your character and favorite people to have on your team.

My character is Mira Star, a female scout, who currently is using a vibrosword in one hand and a vibroblade in the other.

I am not sure completely who my favorite team is. Bastila just gets on my nerves. :( I think T3-M4 (the little droid) is cute and Carth has gotten sorta powerful even though he and Mira are always arguing. Lover's quarrels...

I didnt approve of how the game was turn based but appeared to be real time. but I loved the choices leading to light and dark sides of the force, a nice sounding prequel to the whole Star Wars series, but it didnt catch my favor, I prefer realtime combat like in Jedi Outcast, and Jedi Accademy, KoToR didnt go far with me, and trust me cuz I been gaming since I first came home from the hospital after birth. thats about 21 years ago, so you know what I'm talkin about. back on subject, I didnt get into it, I got a little agitated playing it at a walmart, and couldnt stand the cameos with existing SW characters like Yoda, whom was only 200 years old by the time he passed in SW Episode 5 or 6, my brother knows, and KotOR dates back to 4000 years before episode 1, long before yoda was even conceived. still, according to gamer reviews, it's pretty good according to those who took the time to beat it. the highest I saw it get was 8/10 overall.
I appologize for offending anyone. I regret the wrongs I have commited, and am deeply sorry.

What does your age have to do with anything? It doesn't pertain at all to what you're talking about.

Unless it's stated in the movies just how old Yoda is, he could very well be over 6000. What does your brother have as a source?

In someways I'm also more into in depth Star Wars games like Jedi Outcast, not because it's a First Person Shooter, but also I enjoy looking at the character your playing as in a first person's view IMO. KoToR is still a good game to play and have fun with. With it's rating ranging from 7.5-9 by different companies and websites I think they deserved it.

George Lucass had the characters ages written in certain games, like how Chewbacca was about 200 years and still acting quite young in the original SW, and how Yoda is 900 by the time he dies, in exclusive BG data, and my brother is a serious SW geek, and I had to get the data from him. Yodas age was in a SW quiz my brother took, I underestimated, and you vastly overestimated. so we were both wrong. trust me, my brother is a serious SW geek, and an even better SW geek than the one featured on Beat the geeks. that geek and the host didnt even get the pronunciation right. the emperors name is pronounced Paul-pah-teen, not Paul-puh-tine, you'd think they watched the movies and read the books to align the data, though mr.lucass can manipulate the SW timeline however he wants cuz it's his creation.

1) George Lucas doesn't write the stories for the Star Wars games.

2) Even if it is in a quiz book, the only materials actually canon to the Star Wars universe are the movies.

3) I didn't overestimate, I was making a statement. I don't know how old Yoda is, nor do I care, really.

4) It doesn't matter how big of a Star Wars fan your brother is, unless it's in the movies, it has no basis.

5) Back on topic.
