Harvest Moon!
I know some of you guys like this game and all its sequels...
My favorite so far is Back to Nature for the PS1.
I played a rom of one of the GBC ones, Harvest Moon 3, though, and that's a good game too. I like having a hawk-looking bird as a pet...

I have Save the Homeland. It's pretty fun and I love the horse and the dog. ^^
http://usagicookies.livejournal.com (stalk me, you know you wanna)
I never knew harvest moon had a PS1 game. I've only played the PS2 "Save the Homeland". I *love* horse-back riding. But I must confess, my favorite part in the game is planding and farming and on rainy days, foraging for berries and such.
.. God I love that game.

And really, why shouldn't we be afraid? In case you haven't heard, life is terminal. Cigarettes will kill you. So will your cellphone. Your car is a deadly weapon and alcohol is a quiet killer. Don't lick the lead-based paint on the walls. Don't lick the back of a postage stamp and certainly don't lick any strangers! That will bring you down quickly indeed. Don't drink the water but don't drink less than eight glasses a day. Your enviroment is toxic, your natural resources are dwindling, your days are numbered, but what ever you do, don't panic! The stress, don't you know, will kill you.

I LOVE THIS GAME I LOVE IT I LOVE IT I LOVE IT I LOVE IT I... *someone shoots her with a tranquilizer*
I only have HM64 for N64, and the 2nd and 3rd GBC games. Out of those three it would be HM64. What is you guy's favorite girl? I like Popuri and Karen. (This is going of HM64, I know they changed some of their personalities in other games) I like Popuri because she's sweet and I love flowers. Plus the pink hair and red eyes are very anime-ish (is that a word?) but it reminds me strongly of Chibiusa. I like Karen's go-get-em attidude and the fact that she's an alchoholic! XD But nontheless, she's really cool. Plus she looks kinda like me!

Me: This is coming from the kid who doesn't know what Viagra is!
Ko: It's cold medicine, right?
Our Group: NO!!!
Me: Can I just say?
Dylan: Sure, it's no weirder than what normally comes out of your mouth.
Me: (says what)
Ko: .....What's that?
Me: ......*starts crying*
Carley: STEVE! STEVE GET OVER HERE AND TELL KO WHAT VIAGRA DOES!
Steve: See, it's like this: The bridge goes up and the soldiers rush out....
Tiff: Aww, you killed someone for me. That's so sweet in a f***ed up sort of way!
Has anyone else heard of the new game? (Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life) It looks awsome!

Mmmmm.... Harvest Moon... *slobbers all over the desk*
The only game I have is Back to Nature. I plan on getting Friends of Mineral Town (which is out now. YAY!) and A Wonderful Life when that comes out. I'm not absolutely sure if I should get the ones for the Nintendo 64 and Gameboy Color, but I want the SNES version released for the Gamecube, like what's happening to Zelda.
I've got a question, too: you know the percentages thing in your START menu for Back to Nature? Well, do you need to have it at 100% for the game to be successfully beaten, or can you be a little bit lower for completion?

I would definantly get the N64 one, or at least rent it. It's a really fun game, plus there's a cheat to get Karen to red heart in ten minutes!
You take your dog to the bar and keep talking to her. Since time doesn't pass in the bar, take as long as you like. Each 50 times you talk to her holding the dog, her heart color will go up one!
Which game do you guys think it's hardest to get money on? I personally think it's HM 3 for GBC or GBA. The girl starts out with one cow, and the boy starts out with just three seed packages, and even though this is more than some games, it's very rarely that you get to go to the mainland, so you tend to spend a lot on movies and stuff you don't quite need, like rugs and food. This element really helps teach you conservation skills! And to anybody who's doing really well, how long does it take for Billy to give you the fishing rod if you're giving him four berries a day?

I'm planning on asking for a GBA for Christmas (along with Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire, both of which I'm dying to play...), and buying FOMT as well.
-_- And I want to play A Wonderful Life too, so I'm going to have to get a Gamecube first...

I would reccomend renting them. I've never played the first GBC Harvest Moon, but the N64 one ROCKS! I'm not sure if the following are spoilers or not, so I'll put them under spoilers.
You can get married, outdrink people, have a baby, collect photos for an album, find ten powerberries and one extra, fishing is a heck of a challenge, and you get to save a vineyard!
I love the Harvest Moon series, I've played it since the first game came out on the SNES. I'm anxiously waiting for AWL to come out. It was supposed to come out in October, but it was delayed -_- I haven't bought FoMT yet, I plan to get that when I get AWL.
Anubi: Oh God.
Anubi: I just saw Mog/Terra hentai.
Kari: XDDDDDDDDDDDD
Anubi: My life is snow scarred.
Kari: ooooo, snow
Anubi: Oo, fun.
Anubi: SNOW SCARRED.
Anubi: WHOO.

w00t! Just got AWL and I must say I love it. It's really cute. There are more animals, crops, and tools then Save the Homeland. No powerberries either (but it's okay! His energy seems great and there are lots of things to restore energy). There are lots of other differences too, but I'd rather not spoil them. Kinda want to get a GBA for Friends of Mineral Town now since you can hook the two together and get neat stuffs.

The animals include:
- Cows (Different kids, like brown, marble, etc.)
- Sheep
- Chickens
- Ducks
- Goat
The ducks are really only for selling purpouses, though, and the goats stop giving milk after a while and you can't sell them. They're not worth the trouble it takes to kill them to make room for cows. Also, the animals that you can get but can't use for profit are
- Dog (Two different kinds)
- Cat
- Chichuwa (I can't spell it...Chiwawa? Chihuaha?)
I know the last one is also a type of dog, but this dog you'll get in the very last year, IF you get it at all (plus it's actually given a breed name) so I just included it seperate from dog.
