Holiday Season 2004

With Christmas right around the corner (don't laugh. It's 3 months away, but with everything being released, that's too soon), and the list of soon-to-be-released video games growing larger by the minute, I ask of you: What is your video game wishlist for this season? Mine is:

Fable, Xbox: Have it pre-ordered, fuck Christmas
DOA Ultimate, Xbox: Also pre-ordered, double fuck Christmas
Guilty Gear X2 #Reload, Xbox: Only $20, so I'll probably buy it.
Halo 2, Xbox: On Christmas list
Prince of Persia: The Warrior Within, Xbox: Also on Christmas list
Silent Hill 4: The Room, Xbox: Christmas list
Second Sight, Xbox: Definitely Christmas list
Robotech: Invasion, Xbox: Christmas again

That's far from complete, however since I don't have a PS2 or GCN, I can't ask for the games I want there (namely Metroid Prime 2 and Shadow Hearts 2).

My list, by system:

GameCube:

- Tales of Symphonia
- Donkey Konga
- Paper Mario 2 (hopefully Nintendo will release a preorder disc with the first game, a la Zelda)

GBA:

- Kirby and the Amazing Mirror

I won't be upset if I don't get this - GBA games are not a huge priority for me.

PS2:

Star Ocean: Till the End of Time
DDR Extreme USA
FFXI: Chains of Promathia expansion pack - probably before Christmas, as it's only $30.

Guilty Gear Isuka for PS2 if it's supposed to be out by then.

Death By Degrees: Tekken Nina Williams. Again if it's supposed to be out by then. It might not be until next year...

Street Fighter Anniversary collection. It's already out though. IF I get it, I'd want it as a Christmans present.

I also want a game Gamecube. And for GCN, I want Smash Bros Melee, Mario Kart Double Dash, Tales of Phantasia, F-Zero GX and others. It would be nice to get at least 2 of the games on this entire list. Maybe one for PS2 and one for GCN.

This is just my opinion but I think the US version of DDR Extreme is going to bite the big one. None of the good songs are there... They added useless stupid features etc.. I'd say you'd be better off getting the Japanese import, unless you can afford and have the space for the arcade machine. ^^;; This is just my opinion. Don't hurt me >_< ^^;;

Parakisu is right, 90% of the games worth getting in a calendar year come out in Q4 of the year. That being said, here's my list thus far:

* Pokémon FireRed/LeafGreen (GBA) - pre-ordered and purchased, too far away from Christmas to wait
* DDR Extreme (PS2) - already pre-ordered, DDR is like Pokémon, a must have immediately
* Guilty Gear X2 #Reload (Xbox) - same as Parakisu, wil probably buy since it's only $20 and should be great with Xbox Live
* Halo 2 (Xbox) - on the list, not much of an FPS gamer but enjoyed Halo and will enjoy its sequel on Live
* Paper Mario 2 (NGC) - on the list, also hoping for a pre-order disc with the first game on it
* Def Jam: Fight for NY (NGC, Xbox, or PS2) - on the list, I enjoyed the first one and this sequel looks awesome
* Donkey Konga (NGC) - on list, looks fun and I'm already a fan of the music genre of games
* Metroid Prime 2 (NGC) - on list, again not much of an FPS gamer, but I liked the first one and this one will have multiplayer
* GoldenEye: Rouge Agent (NGC) - on list, sequel to one of the best N64 games ever, will be an awesome game if even only half as good as the first
* Viewtiful Joe 2 (NGC) - on list, first game was great, second looks to be great too
* Dead or Alive Ultimate (Xbox) - on list or might purchase myself, I love the DOA series and Xbox Live capability is greatlky welcomed
* Sonic Mega Collection Plus (Xbox) - on list but will probably buy since it's only $20, I have the GameCube collection, and this one will have even more Sonic gaming goodness
* DDR Ultramix 2 (Xbox) - will probably pre-order and buy, DDR + Xbox Live = must have, hoping for an improved online interface
* F-Zero: GP Legend (GBA) - on list, the F-Zero series kicks ass
* Kirby and the Amazing Mirror (GBA): on list, who doesn't love the little pink puff ball?
* Mega Man Anniversary Collection (GBA) - on list, would love to have all the GB Mega Man games (though not a Christmas season game, the GC version is on my list as well)

...... damn, this list keeps getting bigger every year. ^^;;;;
