MK's games have some terribly broken AI. I think always beat MK2's Shao Khan using Kitana and Mileena's combos. Or being cheezy by blocking his shoulder charge and then upper cutting him.

As for Kintaro I beat him by using the jump kick and then flipping back. Rinse and repeat. Or alternating high and low fireballs with Liu Kang

[quoteAs for hard bosses, how about Mike Tyson from Punch-out for the NES? I never even got to him without using The Code, and when I did he beat me to a creamy jelly in about 10 seconds. Maybe they should remake the game now where he's really old and can't go very long, and randomly bites you to get disqualified. ^_^]

Hell yeah!! I remember when i got him he beat me and had to start over or go th Mr. Sandman Again.
That would be Nightmare (3rd fight) in Devil May Cry. Imagine this for those who haven't seen it yet:
A Tank-sized pile of slime that only forms into its vulnerable state when the room is lit up. Only in that form it's core comes out periodically but inbetween or during it fires machine guns, homing missles, stabs you with various arm-spear things, uses a boomerang arm that can cover the room, and the classic giant freeze beam. Add that with the fact it now takes up more than half the allowed movement space and there ya go!

Songi's final form in Legend of Legaia. Him hitting for 3000 when you only have around 1600 HP = not cool :?

Also, in a no junction game in FF8, the final boss took me about 170 tries (literally) to beat, that has to be the hardest boss battle evar. (Only in a no junction game though)

Huff N Puff from Paper Mario. Damn, he's hard. It took me a VERY long time to beat him.
Also, Ganon from Ocarina of Time. He himself isn't all that hard, but I ALWAYS run out of magic when I fight him!!

Hard bosses;
1) Big Mouth and the 2 last bosses (Parasite Eve 2)
2) T-Rex (Dino Crisis)

Bosses I'm still trying to beat (Makenai!);
1) The bosses at the Museum (Parasite Eve) - I'm in on my 7th month now... hehe *sweatdrop*
2)
Dark Serge and Dario
(Chrono Cross) - 3 months...

I dunno. I was just looking at it and I suddenly got this urge to get inside. No, not just an urge - more than that. It was my destiny to be here; in the box. And then when I put it on, I suddenly got this feeling of inner peace. I can´t put it into words. I feel... safe. Like this is where I was meant to be. Like I´d found the key to true happiness.

MP2- boost guardian. I swear, they made that thing so it would be REALLY ******* HARD to sequence break.

Talk about resurrecting ancient threads...

Pick any boss from a SNK fighting game. Any of them. Appearently SNK thought what made good bosses was to give them ultra-damaging, unblockable moves and other assorted cheap moves.
You seem like the kind of person who'll lie.
However... this sword doesn't lie.

Well this thread was ressurrected and I have another to add.

In Star Ocean 3... one of the optional bosses... I think it may need spoiler tags.
Freya!!! She's originally a Valkyrie Profile character, BTW. Her challenge isn't too surprising since she was one of the most powerful party members in Valkyrie Profile. Lenneth (main character from Valkyrie Profile) was a really difficult optional boss in SO3 too, but i managed to beat her eventually

But Freya, OMG!!! She has 20 million HP and 3 million MP! All of her attacks are super powerful. Ether Strike is the cheapest attack ever. She does it so fast and not only when her HP is low. I say it's like she pulls it out of her ass. You can stop Ether Strike but it's not guaranteed. And when Ether Strike is sucessful, it will wipe the part out without a doubt. Unless they used a shielding device, which still sucks. Because you can't attack while using one.
Anyway I gave up on that boss. She's such a pain.
