Devil May Cry

Post by Sailor X » Wed Jul 14, 2004 10:14 am

Aaagh, I have a sudden urge to get this game and am trying to make my mom take me somewhere to get it (she keeps asking if I have enough money, etc. She's just teasing). The problem is, everywhere I go, it's not there! Not Best Buy, not EBX, but maybe I should check fye. I thought the original Devil sold VERY well, wouldn't it still be in stores? Gaaah. Any of you played the game?

Bought it, played it, beat it. This game rules, im waiting for Devil May Cry 3 to come out. The best places for you to check to buy it are places like Babbages or Gamestop. ^_^

The game is a Greatest Hit title so you should be able to find it affordably.
Places to look include Wal-Mart, BestBuy, Circuit City, and of course EB and Gamestop.
If you dont mind buying it used then it should be pretty easy to find.
I would suggest Gamestop since it will come with a good warranty.
19.99 is the most you should pay for it, dont settle for more.
If you check Bestbuy.com, you can order it from their website and have it delivered to your local store.
Good luck
Its a great game that is realy a lot of fun,
just stear clear of the horrid DMC 2, it is nothing like its predocessor.

Devil May Cry i loved so much and had completed the first game. My friend completed the 2nd game Devil May Cry 2 in one day  .

You should easily be able to find the game cheap since it's been out for so long. If you find it second hand it's going to be amazingly cheap. I think the game has been out for at least 3 years and it still looks impressive, get it as soon as possible!

The fighting engine in the series is so great, it could put Kingdom Heart's engine to shame. And man, the boss ideas are pretty creative. I mean almost everyone would associate a spider with wood or poison, but Capcom thought otherwise. Replace wood with rock and poison with fire/magma, make the spider as big as a tank, give it scorpion like features and one Emiril style BAM! We have Phantom, now that's innovative.

Devil May Cry 3 Gameplay Footage

Post by CrimsonRipper » Mon Aug 30, 2004 7:41 pm

I found a webpage for those who haven't seen the gameplay footage for this game, to me it looks really good for the beginning of the game in terms of skills. The game comes out December 7th for those who are interested.

Topic merged with the already existing Devil May Cry topic. ^^

Can't wait till the 3rd one comes out , the 2nd one in the series was quite easy to be honest but that might be just me  . I'm hoping that the 3rd one will be much more challenging and longer than the last one.

2nd one was easy, you are not alone, it had quite a few problems. Problems which could have been avoided if Capcom had released a demo before its release date, sure it was pretty fun and all but still rather slow in the combat system, unlike the first and 3rd.

P.S. Here's another site for some movies for those who wish to see.

I thought i might of been not the only one who found the 2nd one in the series easy since the 1st one was more challenging. Hopefully the 3rd will also be challenging!

Trust me on this one, it is, you even have to go through the first boss fight without DT. By the way, check the Japan site for DMC 3 to see Dante's new DT, it's sorta weird for my taste.

That's good at least I can play the game much longer than I did with the last one.
