Wow, I thought I posted in here already. Well, here's my list:
Mixx Sailor Moon 4
Mixx Sailor Moon SuperS 2
Tokyopop Sailor Moon 10 (came with SMS DVD6 LE)
Tokyopop Saint Tail 1 (came with Saint Tail DVD1 LE)
I know that Mixx is Tokyopop before they became Tokyopop and that the volumes for Sailor Moon weren't changed, I just felt like noting the different versions since they are marked that way and do have different spines. Though not much now, I got myself a Waldenbook's membership card over Christmas season to help with my shopping then but more importantly to build my collection up over the summer.

I've added some new manga since then to my collection:Rainbow wrote:Japanese Sailor Moon #8 (I can use manga for Japanese reading practice!)
MiXX Sailor Moon ALL
Magic Knights Rayearth: 1-3 (it was the golden box set)
Wedding Peach: 1-3
Ranma 1/2: 4 to 5 random volumes
Tokyo Mew Mew: 1-4
As you can see, I'm a fan of magical girl teams. But I generally prefer anime to manga, and, naturally, I think my anime collection is larger.
Wedding Peach 4-6
Tokyo Mew Mew 5-7
So now Wedding Peach is finished, and TMM might be too, unless they start releasing the Ala Mode series here in the USA.

Well, mine's up-and-coming (though not as quickly as I'd like since I have very little money), but I've got Sailor Moon 1, 2, 4, 8, 9, 10, 11, SS3, with 3, and Sailor Stars 1-3 on order from B&N. Also Vol. 1 of Mahoromatic, which is a funny story, becasue I went into a bookstore and used the bathroom and a copy was in there. Now, they don't let you take in books to read, so it was the only thing there to read, and I got hooked. I bought a different copy though.
And just to be complete, I've got the H doujinshi Cream & Sugar 1-3, and the first two of the first-run MIXX Sailor Moons, still in the original mylar. I should probably sell them. Side rant: I think manga is just a skosh (side point to the side rant: did you know that word derives from the Japanese sukoshi? I just found that out.) overpriced at ~US$10, in that it's just too much to make me avoid an impulse buy. If it were, say, $6.99, I'd probably pick up a title on a whim, but for $10 I have to ask myself if I really want it in my collection.

Be careful with this one, there is a bit of a pun involved. Dr. Spooner described his visit to a castle: "In the center of the fortress was the Palace Court. The gated entrance to this area was the court palace."

I just acquired Onegai Teacher V1 this past Saturday, and then with a 15% off coupon that I got from Waldenbooks eariler in the month with my preferred reader discount, bought the Magic Knight Rayearth II boxset yesterday.
Also, I used ListerX to keep track of my manga since their list is excellent, so instead of making updates in this thread my collection can always be found using the link in my sig.

I don't think I've ever replied to this ^_^
As far as Sailor Moon goes, I've got Mixx mangas 2,7,8 and Stars number 1. I also have the Japanese film manga 1,2,4 and 5. The comic book store no longer carries these, so I'm still missing number 3
I also have the reprinted ones 1, 3 and 9.
I also have numbers one through four in the english Chobits manga and the second volume of the original english printing of Rayearth.
As you see, my manga collection is quite small, so I plan to build it up this summer with the upcoming anime convention and everything.
EDIT: I forgot to mention that I have the third volume of Mahou Tsukai Tai! Not a huge step ahead from before ^_^

Let me make you feel better ^_^ In Canada, you're average manga is $14. And the new Trigun manga (the one that's as thick as a dictionary) is $23. And that's only in small citites. When you get into big cities, it's more.overpriced at ~US$10, in that it's just too much to make me avoid an impulse buy. I remember a few years ago, manga used to be like $20. But since anime/manga has gained a lot of popularity over the years, the price went down.peachvampiress wrote:SailorasteroidLet me make you feel better ^_^ In Canada, you're average manga is $14. Well, is that US dollars? Because on amazon.ca, it looks like most of the popular books are still about US$10 or CDN$14. Which is still overcharging for you since a check of the rates puts US$10 equal to CDN$13.31, meaning you're getting ripped to the tune of 69 Canadian cents per book.peachvampiress wrote:Let me make you feel better ^_^ In Canada, you're average manga is $14. Exactly. I find that they charge the same amount for an english manga as they do for Japanese ones. That's another reason I stopped buying english manga. However, the translaters need to get paid, so I think that's why they charge so much for them.Sailorasteroid wrote:Well, is that US dollars? On the backs of all the Japanese manga I've seen, it says 425 yen or something close. Doesn't that work out to $5. That's really cheap. But you're right, the editors do need to be payed (unless it's the Sailormoon editors, then they should be kicked).

That's true, but even though it says something like 425 yen on the back, I find that I'm usually paying more than that. It might work out to $5, but then the store adds an extra $15 on top of that. When it comes to the Japanese mangas, the stores are definately ripping us off here.peachvampiress wrote:On the backs of all the Japanese manga I've seen, it says 425 yen or something close. I don't think that the manga are priced too high at all. Considering the costs for importing, translating, reworking, reprinting, and then shipping. Plus, both the book stores and the manga company itself have to make a profit off of the books.

I've added quite a hunk to my collection since last posted. Sunday was manga night at waldenbooks, so I was INSANELY greedy and picked up 9 new volumes.
-I'm current on Ragnarok (which means I'm up to 11, after being stuck at 7 FOREVER.)(I got these BEFORE manga night, tho.)
-The 3rd Shaman King (also before manga night)
-the first volume of Jing: King of Bandits and Galaxy Angel
-the first TWO volumes of Dragon Knights, Rebirth, and DNAngel
-the second Cardcaptor Sakura, Master of the Clow. (technically not mine, it's my sis's)
