Since the Japanese version of ROD (Read or Die) is sold out at Kikiwai, I picked up the first volume of the recently released english version. It's nice to see more backstory that we missed in the OVA.

I feel you pain with that and Chrono Crusade. However, ADV Manga is essentially dead. They haven't released anything in what seems like a year.

I don't so much know that ADV Manga is dead per se. Newtype USA was advertising vol. 8 in this month's issue, which is supposed to be the final volume.

Oh, I think it isn't all about quantity

(I'd rather give some of mine away: I HATE Love Hina, Manga Love Story and Secret Agent Holmes)
And when I'm being aggressive, .... x__x I had a dispute with my mother once, and afterwards I was SO angry that I tore my Ranma and my Bronze manga apart.

The best thing is: I always encounter anime fans who have double as much manga than I have ;P I think most part now have 600 manga or something like that. It bugs me. But it's only logical since most of them are probably 1) terribly rich or 2) have been collecting manga for 5-10 years.

Well, with those terrible rich friends you can try seeling some manga. (I think that's whats turning me off to manga/anime in general is rich kids acting... well... under privaleged. If I was rich, i'd b trying to get into college to be a doctor, not reading comics (I do both anyway XD)

Selling is the way to go if you don't want manga. Try seeling at a local anime club, if that doesn't work you can check otu eBay/Amazon or give them away to a charity or library.

I already tried to sell them, even under the normal price. Nobody wants them. And I can't post them anywhere since I'm surely not allowed. My mother nags all the time that I'm too lazy and I should prepare for school's next year. ^^°

The Read or Die/Read or Dream series is sold out in Japanese, so I got the english editions:
