Here are pics of the first two volumes of the manga.
Volume 01
Volume 02
I think the covers are ok. The only thing I dislike about them is the logo. I wish it was closer to the original. Here are pics of the original Japanese releases.

I'd complain about the English covers too, but the fact that Midori no Hibi got picked up at all for an English release fills me with so much joy I don't even care!

The coverart for the Midori Days DVDs are really nice. I think I like them more than region 2's.

Here is an updated pic of manga Volume 01 and some release dates.
Volume 01 (9/15/05)
Volume 02 (10/04/05)
Volume 03 (12/06/05)
I think the title on the new cover looks a lot better than the
old one.
Remember, every downhill has its uphill.

I actually own the first 2 DVDs of this series and I must say that the whole storyline is much more complex then I originally thought it would be. Sure I bought it simply because it looked cute and was hardly expected to get treated wth the truly delightful story. It is not only touching but also has many lessons to teach us about society and life in general.
The special features are very blah but the episodes OH THE EPISODES! I've seen more boobs in this anime then I have in some hentais and not just fleshboobs. I see nipples! That was a real shock when I first saw that especially when the dvds had a 13 plus rating. Is the American society finally relizing that everyone has nipples!?
I recommend this anime to everyone I talk to. It really is a treat. *sports her T-Shirt that came in the DVD box*

Is it just the picture there or is the contrast really really bad? I hope it looks right in the real version. And what's up with the pixelized background? I think the original had more of those pink flowers (sakura?).

Ugh, what's up with the pixellated backgrounds? It looks so bad and the "picture" of Seiji look so out of place.

I actually like them. I don't care for the actual art of the characters, but I think thea ctual setup of the covers is cool. I'm loving the backgrounds...it's different.
....o.O and I just now read the plot for this show. ...wtf? Am I the only one who thinks it's...really weird? His
hand turns into a girl?
.....kaaaay.
Joey: The question is, Rachel, does he like you? ''Cuz if he doesn''t, then it''s all just a moo point.
Rachel: Huh...a...moo point?
Joey: Yeah. It''''s like a cow''s opinion. It doesn''t matter....It''s moo.

The concept takes a while to get used to, but it's actually a very nice slice-of-life kind of comedy, with romantic elements thrown in.
At least it's not another cookie-cutter romantic comedy brimming with fanservice being brought to America, like I''s is.
