I'm in a crossover RPG right now... Tempest would know about it: she hosts the board. Actually, there are more original characters than existing ones, though.

I've been meaning to make a crossover of Sailor Moon and Fatal Fury for ages. If nothing else, it will be entertaining to try.

I've tried to write a Simpsons/Sailor Moon crossover since they're my favorite shows, but all I came up was throwing the Simpsons characters into my Senshi Battle Sets series.

In case you're wondering what the Senshi Battle Sets are, have you ever heard of the Senshi Battle Zone? Where people write battles between the Senshi? I did my own, pitting many combinations against each other. I also made up my own three Sailor Moon fans, named Larissa, Diana, Brittany, who are the extremely opinionated announcers. They often argue over their favorites, and sometimes their arguments last longer than the Senshi fights themselves. I also made sure that each of the Senshi (Moon, Chibi Moon, Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, Venus, Uranus, Neptune, Saturn, Pluto, Fighter, Healer, and Maker) won and lost an equal number of fights so that everyone could be happy and read about their favorites winning (and read about their least favorites losing). I also did one that was Senshi group battles called Senshi Battle Sets 2, and instead of the human announcers I had my dogs Diana and Aggie be the announcers along with Luna and Artemis. With that one I was a little more biased, though.

There are 3 SM crossovers that permeate FF.net's selection. Harry Potter seems to be the main one, followed by Gundam and LOTR. It gets a bit old reading through the summary pages and seeing the same series crossovers constantly.

I wrote one with Acclaim Comics' series Shadow Man, but it's pulled to be rewritten whenever I get around to it. I think Moon Romance has the revised chapter 1 up, though.

Actually, I have never read any of those, except for one fic about Usagi visiting the Gundam Wing characters. So they'd probably be new to me.

Of course, I've never been on FF.net, it sounds like I'd have to sift through so many fanfics to find the Sailor Moon ones, unless I can search there. I'll try to look for those.

Rainbow: Ffnet has a serch engine if you just want Sailor Moon fic then all you ahve to do is go to anime clikc Sailor Moon Click there you go. For crossovers go to misc and you'll find Sialor Moon/Gundam Wing or Sailor Moon/Other clikc on whatever and there you go.

The reason why so many crossovers are the same is beucase many that write them have no idea what to do and so do one that's done already with thier "touch"

Note I said MANY not ALL MANY it wasn't an insult at anyone that do write them

I've read a really interesting crossover fanfic between BSSM and X-Men off of sailormars.com It wasn't extraordinarily wonderful, but it wasn't as bad some BSSM/HP fics.

last time I was at FF.net they had a sub-category set up solely for GW/SM crossovers.

lexicon.tf has a few Transformers crossovers but shy of one with the Amazon Trio trying to look at Thundercracker's dream mirror, most didn't strike me as being very well done.

I do think there are a lot of good series' that crossover writers could use instead of the 4 or 5 that have become overused.

Actually, I did look on FF.net, but I didn't know which genre to look in, so thanks for telling me. I looked for stories about Taiki and Chibi-Usa together as friends, but couldn't find any. Guess I'll have to make my own then...

And I just finished a Sailor Moon/Green Lantern AU crossover fic called "Emerald Sunrise" and I'm starting another one called "Darkstar Rising".

I'm thinking about sending them to Fanfiction.net.

I wrote a cross over one time. Tenchi and Gundamwing. ^^ I called it "No need for Shooting Stars" I got half way between Chapter 3 I think then my mind wandered into something else. Perhaps I should try to find it, finish it and add it to my site again.

General Fanfic Peeves:

- Self-insertion The only time I'll excuse it is if it's a parody.
- Mary Sue It's not interesting to read about someone who's perfect.
- All-powerful Characters I don't want to hear about how your senshi is stronger than Moon, Saturn, and Pluto combined!
- Underage sex Characters should be at least 16.
- Incest Especially Parent/child! (Rampant in HP fandom)

Sailormoon Fanfic Peeves:
- Incestual Chibiusa Chibiusa does NOT want to sleep with Mamoru. She just looks up to him and wants to annoy Usagi.
- Evil ChibiusaShe's not evil.

CCS Fanfic Peeves:
- Eriol+Tomoyo Fics Eriol is with Kaho, dang it! Kaho!

- Straight!Tomoyo She's a lesbian. Live with it.

A Green Lantern I created just for "Emerald Sunrise". An almagam of Hal Jordan, John Stewart, and Alan Scott. I put him at the same age as Ami and the other Sailor Senshi.

Well, I am a fanfiction writer myself, and I might have made some of the pet peeves mistakes some of you mentioned.

Thing is, sometimes, writing requires more talent than drawing, sometimes drawing requires more talent. Just depends on which one you're better at.

I am a literary person and I've always been able of writing. I can't help it. When I first tried to write Sailor Moon fics, I thought I could change or add things without betraying the original if I kept the names and if I didn't pretend the characters were mine. I knew what I was playing with.

Hence why I actually only wrote fics taking place after Stars. This way, I wasn't changing the manga itself nor the anime. But I still tried to keep some of the original concepts, except, for example, the "one child only" in the manga, since Queen Serenity had a child but there was no mention of a father whatsoever, when Chibi-Usa does have a father and I won't go further than that because it would make an already long post really too long.

Can't say one of my ideas right now, but I have two coming up, that might be interesting.

I think one of the reasons of many of your pet peeves are that people take one season or one manga chapter then change the whole thing. I've seen beautiful fics that did do that but it was intelligent. It was good. Too bad I lost the site cause those tings are in English.

Oh well. Long live fanart and fanfic. I'm also a follower of my new fanaudio hobby: sing an anime song a capella and then post it online. I did that with Love Hina OP and got quite a good feedback :-p

From what I've heard... There were subtle references that Usagi and Mamoru were already "getting it on" as early as the Black Moon arc of the manga. Usagi would have been 14 at that time.

I agree, and not just because most of them say not to change the characters. Many of them are hypocrites in one of two ways:
1) They have broken their own rules. How can they tell other people to not write a certain type of story when they've written something like that themselves?!
2) They have as a rule "Rules are meant to be broken." Then why give rules in the first place if you say they're meant to be broken?

I have only one rule for creating any kind of fiction, fan or original, and that's been stated here on the forum.

I read a fanfic that had Usagi thrust into the Star Trek Universe along with Ranma Saotome. they were interacting with the crews from "Enterprise", "Star Trek:TOS", "Star Trek: TNG", Star Trek: Deep Space Nine", and "Star Trek: Voyager". It was extremely well written.
