What's this "Warriors of the Wind" you speak of? I know of no such thing. I only know of "Nauiscaa of the Valley of The Wind", a masterpiece from Hayao Miyazaki if that's what you're referring to.

lol. Don't be mean  I like Warriors of the Wind, personally. I've never seen Nausicaa, and I'm sure it's better, but WoW wasn't *that* bad. I did have to spend the first half hour of the movie trying to figure out if Sondra (isn't that her name? The girl who's supposed to be Nausicaa) is wearing pants. I love the music that plays when the big...rolly pollies or whatever...use their tentacles. It's a very pretty tune. Does anyone know where I can download it?

From the horrid stories I've heard, the English dub of Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind had at least 1/4 of the film cut out. I haven't seen "Warriors of the Wind" and don't intend to. I refuse to see a Miyazaki film that has ANY of his beautiful artwork, even if it's just a second, cut out. Hayao Miyazaki is my favorite anime director of all time and I've loved all of his movies, so I don't want to see one of them cut at all.

So, Nausicaa is going to have an official English subbed version released? Waffo! That's great news! I downloaded an R2 DVD rip which included English subtitles and although I could make sense of what the characters were saying, the subtitling timing was a little off and that tends to be annoying. I'll be sure to pick up a copy of the DVD when it comes out, just as long as it has the official subbed version avaiable, that's all I care about.

Because your "favorite anime of all time" is one of the worst English dubs ever made. Pay attention to people's post, please.

Cardcaptor Takao: Lay off whitewolf. People have a right to their own opinions, especially if they haven't had access to the original as is suggested by whitewolf's situation. You may not like what was done to Nausicca, but that doesn't give you the right to berate someone else who does like it.

In that particular post, I wasn't stating my own opinion, but was trying to explain why Aya Reiko had said what she had said, even though I thought it was pretty obivious from her post....I apologize if what I was trying to say came out the wrong way. I didn't mean to attack whitewolf or anything like that.

It is not your place to decide when to express Aya Reiko's, or anyone else's opinions. If she wanted to reply, she could have.

Joey: The question is, Rachel, does he like you? ''Cuz if he doesn''t, then it''s all just a moo point.
Rachel: Huh...a...moo point?
Joey: Yeah. It''''s like a cow''s opinion. It doesn''t matter....It''s moo.

the only one I can remember for sure is Sondra, who's supposed to be Nausicaa. And IMDb only has the Japanese cast listed, which is crap. I can't remember the rest.

*shrugs* Same reason the original version only comprised part of the first GN. Miyazaki originally wanted to create a story that was manga-only (something that couldn't be expressed in animation), and was somehow convinced to have part of it animated.
